This is the perfect place to rest and relax after a wonderful day of kayaking or hiking through the vast forest or a climb up St. Regis Mountain. Ask about more accommodations available on site. Only a short drive from grocery stores, restaurants and all the essentials you'd need to make your stay in the Adirondacks a memory that you'll cherish forever! Guest access Head into the long, private driveway staying to the right and then straight down into the row of parking spaces. Christmas Cabin is straight ahead. Go around to the front of the cabin on the right, head up the stairs to your comfy lake home. Other things to note COVID-Clean! Common, shared areas of property… The Boat Dock: The U-shaped dock can be used for launching all the fun water toys! Can also be used to dock rented power boats.Great for all-day swimming and watching the sunsets every night. The Swim Dock: Located to the right of the Castle, the Swim Dock is a fun place to swim all day or watch the sunsets. The Trapper Cabin: The Trapper is a replica of the cabins used by the fur trappers in the Adirondacks in the late 1800s. The Tepee: An authentic teepee built by present day native Americans. The Lean-To: Enjoy s’mores at the Lean-To fire pit. The Canoe House: Boat ramp for launching canoes or kayaks and a covered dock which can be used to dock rented power boats. On the lake side of the Canoe House is a handy fish cleaning table. Boardwalk: Head up just past the Lean-To veering slightly to the right where you'll see the beginning of an estuary and forest board walk trail. The entrance walk splits into two trails and is a rare photographic opportunity where you'll often seeing families of deer and birds, and little creeks which feed into Upper St. Regis Lake. On the lakeside wooden walk is a boat dock and access to the lake by canoe or small fishing boat. Sandy Beach: Located to the right of the Canoe house when facing the lake. Small shallow area, great for kids to wade or try to catch fish! Drive time from Lake Placid: 35 min. From Saranac Lake: 18 min. From Paul Smiths’ College: 5 min. Airports: Adirondack Regional: 9 min.; Plattsburgh: 1hr. 30 min. min.; Montreal: 2hrs. 15min . ; Burlington 2hrs.; Albany 2hrs. 40 min.
