"The Lake House" is located on beautiful Mason Lake in Briggsville, WI. Our home is a freshly remodeled 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom lake house with 36 ft. of lake frontage. The property has a huge fenced in back yard, concrete patio and a new pier (2021) for outside fun. We can accommodate two vehicles on the black top driveway, public street parking and a large public parking lot for boat / rec. trailers right across the street. The property is also located on a ATV/UTV and snowmobile trail system. From 2018 to 2020, our home under went major updates and face lifts. Some of them included an upgraded electric service and wiring, new drilled 6" well, complete remodel of the basement, new HVAC and central A/C, new front and rear deck, new exterior siding, complete refinishing of the original maple flooring in the living room, epoxied concrete flooring in the basement, complete remodeling of the bathroom and much more. Our home also has new electric appliances in the kitchen, new full size washer and dryer in the four seasons porch, a park style charcoal grill just off the patio, two new smart TVs on each level in the living rooms, a Foosball / air hockey table in the basement, corn hole bag set and several board games for family fun. The home has a walk out upper level to the rear porch and lower level walk out to the patio and fenced in back yard. The views of the lake from the rear of the home are breath taking during a sunset! Enjoy a camp fire around the old field stone fire pit. Bring your tents and sleeping bags to enjoy camping in the back yard by the fire pit and lake. We have numerous life jackets to use for swimming, outside patio furniture, two heavy duty picnic tables and a new aluminum pier for kids and adults to cannon ball off of into the lake during the hot summer days! The new pier (2021) has a bench to enjoy the sunset and a ladder to safely exit the lake. My wife, Sara and I live and work in the area. We will be available to answer questions or accommodate if needed. We also have family that live in the Briggsville area if any emergencies arise. Our cleaning professional also only leaves a few blocks away if anything comes up during a stay. Briggsville is a nice quiet community in southwest Marquette County. Joyce's Mason Station (BP gasoline) is a very short walk from our front door. They have a small gas station convenience section, fishing tackle & bait and great hospitality! They also host one of the three public boat launches to the lake off of their parking lot. Across from the gas station is a great bar & grill, Foxy's. They have fantastic food and spirits. Foxy's also hosts an awesome street dance every year. If you are looking for a supper club near by, we have three wonderful options. The Cove Supper Club (156 STH 23, Briggsville) is the closest and is actually on Mason Lake. You can dock a boat at their pier and enjoy dinner! Club 23 Supper Club (465 STH 23, WI Dells) and Cimaroli's Supper Club (W11793 STH 127, Portage) are less than 6 miles from our property. We are also located less than 12 miles east of the world famous Wisconsin Dells & Lake Delton water parks and historical thrilling adventures. For winter travelers, we are within minutes of several great skiing resorts in the Portage, Wisconsin Dells and Baraboo areas. The nearest urgent care, emergency room and hospital is located about 11 miles south east in Portage, WI. The Divine Savior Healthcare Campus will treat you with professional care. Our property is on the public ATV/UTV trail system, snowmobile trail system and has 36 ft of lake frontage to enjoy all Lake Mason has to offer. Starting on January 1, 2022, The Town of Douglas adopted and put in place a new ordinance for tourist rooming houses. The new ordinance requires a resort or community fee (tax) of 4.5% for each reservation. When you book with us the new fee will be listed in the transaction history and listed under community fee. We will then forward the fee or tax onto the Town of Douglas when required per the new ordinance.
