The space Our townhouse is very comfortable and located in a very quiet part of town, especially considering our proximity to the heart of Georgetown! It's the perfect mix of city and privacy. In 2014 we totally renovated the back patio so it is a great place to relax and grill out and watch for the occasional deer to pass by. In 2015 we replaced mattresses with brand new state of the art mattresses which our guests have raved about. **Please note: The house sleeps 6; additional guests are subject to approval by the owner at a rate of $30/night per guest beyond 6. In cases such as this, we will provide air mattresses as we do not allow guests to sleep on the living room couches. This rule is strictly enforced. Thank you! The house has four beds, one queen bed in the Master Bedroom, another queen in the second bedroom "The Captain's Quarters", and two twin beds (one of which is a pull-out trundle) in the third bedroom. Guest access There is a full cook's or baker's kitchen, laundry facilities on the second floor and a gas grill outside which you may use. The owners or other Airbnb guests sometimes live in the basement studio but have their own entrance through the back patio. We will give you a custom passcode to the house before your arrival. The only shared space is the patio and outdoor grill. Other things to note Although our street is a cul-de-sac and is usually quiet we do get airplane noise from flights coming into Reagan National Airport. The planes fly over the Potomac River and we are close to the Potomac River. It is not all the air traffic, they (Reagan National Flight controllers) mix it up and adjust to weather patterns and it quiets down in the evening. But if you have sensitive sleepers and they want to sleep late, I suggest they sleep in The Captain's Quarters or wear ear plugs. We have a detailed guest book with restaurant and activity suggestions. We are always available through phone or text to answer your questions. We request that if you stay longer than one week you will have the house professionally cleaned once a week.
