Vibrant & chic mountain cabin at Water & Stone Retreat! Featuring modern amenities, tons of windows & natural light, private office/workspace, a gas fireplace, heated bathroom floor, plus a beautiful outdoor area set up on the creek w/ lounge chairs & dining table, this cabin is absolutely fabulous. Located just 20 mins from the ski slopes, 35 mins from Denver & only 5 minutes from downtown Idaho Springs. No pets allowed. Bedroom 2 is a tiny sleeping loft w/o a door. The space ***PLEASE NOTE*** As detailed under our House Rules, if you want an early check-in time or late checkout time that is different than what is advertised in our listing, there will be an additional fee. We are located in a tiny mountain town. It is very challenging to find quality/reliable cleaning help. This is not a big city, or an expensive resort town. Our cleaning schedule is very tight and strict every single day of the week. We cannot adjust our check-in and checkout times without an additional fee. Please do not leave us negative reviews because we can't provide you an early check-in or late checkout without an additional fee. That is not what the Airbnb community is about. We take great care in providing an amazing clean cabin/condo upon check-in. This takes time & attention to detail from our very tiny team. If our times or fees don't align with your needs or budget, please do not book with us. We truly want you to be happy, and not mad at us because we can't adjust our times without a fee. We cannot arrange an early check-in or a late checkout without at least 24 hours notice. It is not possible to coordinate it the same day as you arrive, or the morning you are set to depart. The cabin is PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED w/ disinfectant & a HEPA-3 air purifier after each guest. =) Please note in our listing that "beachfront" refers to having direct access to the creek. It is not a sandy beach, however Airbnb does not have a specific setting to note that it is the banks of the creek, which are rocky. Guest access This property is part of a larger property with many cabins. The rest of the property is off limits at all times, as all other cabins have either long or short term tenants living in them. Please do not disturb them. If you are looking for a cabin in the middle of the forest, that is very private, this is not it - as noted it is on a large property, but there are many other cabins on the property in addition to this one. Always contact us via the AirBnB app for assistance! By booking this listing, your access is for the Shale cabin only, and not the surrounding cabins. Other things to note We cannot guarantee that we can answer the phone at all hours of the day and night if you call. We have one phone, and the person who answers the phone cannot be awake 24 hours a day/7 days a week. If you need anything whatsoever during your stay, you must message us via the Airbnb app. That is the only way we can guarantee a timely response. We have several staff members who monitor the messages, and can most promptly assist you in that manner. Guests, please note that this cabin was built many, many years ago. Although it has had many beautiful updates done, it is an old building and is not ADA compliant. Some of its features may not be to current building code, but are consistent to its year of construction. There have been sightings of bear, mountain lion, deer, elk, moose, and foxes in the area. This is their home too. Please make sure to bring all food inside at night. Do not sleep with the doors open. Animals can be curious! Enter the creek at your own risk! We are not responsible if you injure yourself by going in the water. We do not recommend that you enter the creek, as it could be unsafe.
