The cottage, originally built in 1899, is located in the heart of Old Colorado City, and is a short walk to galleries, pubs, restaurants and stores. The Midland Trail is a quick bike ride away and runs from Manitou Springs all the way into downtown. A short drive of 10 minutes or less and you you can be on some of the best hiking trails in southern Colorado; including Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Canyon Open Space and many trails on Pikes Peak. Off street parking available. The space The cottage is light and airy; whimsically decorated with artwork and antiques that will draw you into Alice's Adventures in Wonderland! We have a great WiFi connection and a projector with Firestick that gives you a fabulous home theater experience! The kitchen is fully equipped with a range, refrigerator and small appliances like a toaster, and microwave. We have a variety of coffee prep options including a Keurig, French press, and Bialletti for espresso. If none of those tickle your fancy, there are several lovely coffee shops within easy walking distance. The bathroom features heated floors, a claw-foot tub with shower, and a full complement of linens. We have in-house washer/dryer, and a full sized ironing board and iron for your convenience. There is a small closet downstairs as well as storage cubbies in the stairs! Upstairs, you will find 2 extra long full beds, a dresser, a mini closet, and a bench with additional storage. The upstairs balcony offers a great place to sip early morning coffee or to watch the sun drop behind Pike Peak. Guest access You have the entire cottage to yourself. You will also have one parking space in the gravel parking area off the alley next to the cottage as well as use of the small patio off the parking area at the side door. Other things to note A Farmer's Market runs from May through October in Bancroft Park every Saturday, just a few blocks away. If you are here over Memorial Day weekend, there is a 4 day festival called "Territory Days" with lots of fun and vendors.
