Holly Cottage Garden

Holly Cottage Garden Carriage House is in Tyler’s distinguished and charming Charnwood/Azalea Historic District of Tyler located just blocks from so many great Tyler attractions. These are wonderfully convenient accomodations during Azalea Trails, Rose Festival, Canton First Monday and other East Texas favorites. By appointment, you can take a stroll through my Holly Cottage Gardens, an English garden registered in the Archives of American Gardens at the Smithsonian Institution. The space The upstairs apartment of the Carriage House is comfortable with beautiful views of the gardens. We also have a downstairs studio apartment and bathroom available if you need room for more people. Bedroom one has a beautiful view overlooking the herb garden and maze, with a queen size bed, dresser, desk and Smart TV with streaming services and wi-fi. Bedroom two offers a double bed with a comfortable sitting chair, small dresser and small desk. The kitchen has a table with seating for four, full-size refrigerator, stove and cook-top, small microwave, pantry, cooking pots and pans, utensils, dishes, and glassware. The bathroom cast-iron fixtures are original to the historic carriage house with a claw tub/shower. The large bedroom has a mini split unit air-conditioning/heater that is BTU recommended and intended to work with the doors open to the other living areas (kitchen and small bedroom) in order to make the rooms comfortable (closing all doors will affect air flow). We also have a portable fan or space heater available upon request. The stairs are fairly steep and there is no stairlift. The garden is available to walk through by appointment only and the paths are uneven as they are made of bricks, rocks and stones, so please plan accordingly. Guest access Complimentary street parking is available. Please do not park in the driveway or block the driveways. Other things to note We use scented washing detergent, plug-ins and spray the rooms with scented disinfectant during cleaning. Please let me know if you would like unscented prior to your arrival and I will do my best to accommodate your request. We do not offer any special accommodations in the event of inclement weather (tornadoes or hurricanes).
