The space This is a Large comfy private room and has a full-size bed and is perfect for one or two guests. Children 2 and under stay free. Private bedroom, shared bathroom ➡️ hallway, access. My 70 lb German Shepherd barks loud at everyone’s arrival, she loves every new person & will need to meet you so she knows you’re supposed to be here! This mini staycation feels like home! I love hosting and interacting with guests looking for a short term or mid-term stay. I’ve hosted college interns and business travelers who have stayed an average of 3 to 6 months. I like to make things easy for guests, so your room comes with some starter goodies — coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sugar, creamer, and a few snack items. Free. Because everyone deserves a little snack happiness. 😊 Your room is set up almost like a mini studio so you can relax, eat, and hang out comfortably. You will share the guest bathroom downstairs with another guest and other people who may need to use the bathroom. (homeowner lives in the bedroom upstairs and has her own bathroom, but sometimes uses the bathroom downstairs as well as her family who visits sometimes.) Smoking Rules • No smoking inside the home • Vaping is OK inside • Cigarettes or cigars are welcome outside in the front yard only (the back yard has artificial turf, a swing set, and a composite deck- this is durable high-end plastic material that will scar badly from cigar or cigarette ash.) About Me I’m a grandma in my late 40s. My grandkids stay over night occasionally. I enjoy visiting with my guests, so if you'd like to say hello please do! I have 3 indoor cats and 1 indoor dog. I have an outdoor neighborhood cat that adopted my backyard who gets fed and loved on every day. I do kitten/cat Rescue/Fostering, for the City and for a Rescue organization as well. They stay upstairs with me in my private space until they are old enough for vaccines. Currently , upstairs and away from guests: I have a momma cat with 7 tiny kittens who will be going to Casual Cat Cafe nearby, in a few months….where people can visit and play with cats and then adopt the one they fall in love with! The outdoor cat is super friendly, she adopted me 🤣 and lives outside (for now) and is always at the sliding glass door by the kitchen at meal time, so she gets a bowl of food when the others are being fed! Allergy and noise caution: My dog sheds fur. Hazel is a German Shepard/Colley mix and loves to bark loud and when you arrive home or when packages are delivered. My dog also uses a low growl to tell me she needs to go potty or tell me she wants to run and play. Please make sure to set a time with me to meet Hazel so that she knows you’re supposed to be here💕 If you’re able to say hello to my dog Hazel, each time you come home that would be super helpful in making her stop barking, ….when you acknowledge her, (even just hollering “hi Hazel🎵” from the front door while she’s yapping from the kitchen ) it helps her understand that you’re supposed to be there! Kitchen gate is sometimes open and my dog Hazel might greet you at the front door. Hazel loves everyone and believes everyone is her very best friend! Do you have 2 people in your group? Make sure to add in the 2nd person on your reservation. Did you know you can book more than 1 month all upfront (if it’s available) AND Airbnb only charges the 1st month the moment you book, then they collect next months rent on a monthly basis! The back yard is stunning with pretty artificial turf and a new composite wood deck with 2 pool lounger chairs (sorry, no pool yet!). Your room and the shared areas of the home are downstairs. About me: I live here in the home, my room is upstairs. I love Jesus, enjoy a whiskey or a glass of wine every now and then, and run a relaxed household. Most guests tell me they feel very comfortable here. No marijuana, CBD, or drugs inside or outside. A Quick Note About Airbnb Airbnb does not allow in-person previews before booking, and they do not release the full address until shortly before check-in. That is Airbnb platform policy. Long-Term Stay Discounts Discounts begin at: • 7 nights • 28 nights • 3 months The longer you stay, the better the rate. If you, your guest, your child, or your pet cause any damage... or accidentally pack up provided amenities at your checkout(ie: towel, tv remote, etc.) the fee will be the actual cost for repairs or replacement or remedy. Damage & Deposit Info I really dislike huge deposits, but I do ask guests to treat the room with care. If a guest, child, or pet damages furniture, décor, mattress, carpet, or other items, guests may be billed for the actual cost of repair or replacement. For example, if a carpet is heavily stained or damaged by a pet, it may require full carpet replacement rather than cleaning. I want future guests to feel comfortable walking barefoot in their room. That said, I’m pretty reasonable and will always try repair first whenever possible. Guest access Private bedroom, shared bath (really though the bathroom will mostly be for my Airbnb guests. I have my own bathroom upstairs in the master) The kitchen, the living room, & the dining room, are shared. The washer and dryer are located in the garage, and are shared. Laundry detergent pods and fabric softener sheets are provided! If needed the laundromat is about three blocks away. Other things to note Guests do not have upstairs access. Smoking outside Front Yard Only. Vaping inside is ok. No Candles. This is not a CBD friendly home. No CBD smoking or cbd oil infuser’s of any kind. This is a drug-free home, no marijuana or any drugs allowed of any kind (not even if you have a prescription for marijuana). Prescription or non prescription marijuana users will be asked to leave and will be instructed to mow my lawn and 10 of my neighbors lawns. Just kidding, just don’t bring your weed. The refrigerator in the kitchen is for owner use only. You have a fridge in your room! I have a note posted with this rule on the refrigerator, but I will make sure the note is right here! You have a refrigerator in your room just for you!! Guests do not have upstairs access.
