No one except the guest has access to it. The apartment comprises two rooms. One is a living room, which has a sitting area, a smart TV with cable, and a fully stocked kitchenette. The other is the bedroom, which has a comfortable queen-sized bed, a second smart TV with cable, two large closets, and a master bath with a walk-in shower. You’ll love the Getaway because of the coziness, the prime location, and the quiet! After a day of exploration and fun, come home to this retreat! LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION: THE SHORE The apartment is super close to the region’s most popular beaches! Sullivan Island Beach, one mile away, is stocked with Revolutionary War-era Fort Moultrie and casual dining establishments. The Isle of Palms Beach, to the north, is a ten-minute drive. Directly to the south is Folly Beach, rife with shopping and eateries. Guests are responsible for their own beach towels and beach gear! DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON Downtown Charleston, a ten-minute drive, is stocked full of entertainment, including countless restaurants, walking tours, historic homes, and easily the best What sets Charleston apart is the city’s centuries-spanning allure. There’s always something new to discover downtown, including its horse-drawn carriages, cobblestone streets, and award-winning restaurants. PET-FREE AND SMOKE-FREE This apartment is pet-free, including service animals. It is also a smoke-free space, including vaporizers, cigars, pipes, etc. We do this, of course, to protect anyone who has pet allergies. PARKING The unit has its own private parking spot. Past guests love this aspect of the property because such convenience leads to easy in-and-outs, with none of the hassle of off-street parking. Guests also enjoy the carport, which keeps the vehicle protected against the elements. Please keep in mind that only ONE car is permitted in this designated area. Any guests who bring two cars will be asked to vacate the property immediately. We do not allow recreational vehicles anywhere on the property. Nor do we allow guests to have a boat on the property. CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT You may self-check in any time after 3 pm on the day of your arrival. You will be provided a unique door code before your arrival. Check-out is no later than 11 am. AMENTITIES The kitchenette has a full-size refrigerator, oven, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker -- with pods for each day. Plates, silverware, pots & pans, napkins, and other dining essentials are also provided for you. The full bath is stocked with towels and soap. There are extra bath towels under the left side of the sink if you need them. This apartment has free Wi-Fi and two large smart TVs with basic cable. A washer and dryer are in the unit. In addition to a ceiling fan in each room, there is also a portable fan in the bedroom for those who sleep with a fan. The unit boasts an iron and an ironing board. Publix, Harris Teeter, and CVS are just a stone’s throw away for the purchase of groceries and other items. THE IMMEDIATE AREA The Coastal Getaway, within walking distance of the shops and restaurants on Ben Sawyer Blvd., is in a great neighborhood. Or bring your own bikes to pedal on the mile-long bike path to Sullivan's Island beach. Many of our guests use nearby "Rebellion Roads" to rent bikes for rides down to the beach and elsewhere. Less than two miles from the apartment is Patriots Point, where one can catch a tour boat to Fort Sumter, play golf, water taxi to downtown Charleston, or tour the Naval & Maritime museum, including the WWII-era Yorktown aircraft carrier. POLICIES REGARDING AGE LIMIT AND OCCUPANCY This apartment does not allow anyone under the age of 21 to stay here. Also, no more than two overnight adult guests are allowed. We promise a clean, safe, and quiet environment. We welcome guests who want a great space and a great location to enjoy and relax before and after beach days, sightseeing in Charleston, and other entertainment. Other things to note Covid Protocol: 1) I ventilate rooms before cleaning, which includes circulating fresh air for at least 20 minutes and keeping windows open during the entire cleaning process. 2) I wash my hands thoroughly before and after each cleaning. 3) After cleaning, I sanitize and disinfect all surfaces with anti-covid products sanctioned by the CDC . 4) My mantra is “Clean, then disinfect.” Cleaning means using soap or detergent and water to remove dirt and impurities. Disinfecting refers to the use of chemicals like bleach or alcohol to kill germs. 6) I keep a well-stocked storage room of paper towels, disinfectant wipes, and other disposable cleaning supplies. 7) After each stay, all towels, linen, sheets, bedspreads, and throws are machine-washed at the highest heat setting appropriate for the material.
