On River’s Bend Cabin | Wood-stove | Apple River

Perched high on the banks of the Apple River, this timber-framed cabin offers spectacular views of the river and wildlife. We’ve spotted bald eagles, deer, ducks, geese, great blue heron, golden eagle, fox, beaver, bear and wild turkey from the comfort of the cabin. One hour from the Twin Cities, it’s the perfect cabin getaway for couples, friends, and families. Located on private acreage in Amery, WI you will be near rivers, lakes, hiking trails and all that Northern Wisconsin has to offer. The space Guests have access to the entire timber-framed cabin which offers one loft bedroom with king bed and en suite bath, cabin bunk room on main floor with queen bed and two twin bunk beds. There is a main floor bath, large kitchen, dining room and a great room with magnificent windows overlooking the Apple River - a perfect space to gather. Summer activities include hiking, swimming, pontooning and kayaking on nearby rivers and lakes. The outdoor deck and fire pit are great spots to gather in the summertime. Winter activities include downhill skiing at nearby Trollhaugen, cross-country skiing, and snow-shoeing less than 5 minute drive away. The cabin was built in 1994. We are the third owners of the property and have curated a cozy spot to take in nature. You’re invited to rest, relax, and restore during your stay at our cabin in the woods. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin and private wooded lot. There is a campfire ring with Adirondack chairs and we supply wood! Guests will not have direct access to the river as the banks are high, steep, and full of raspberry bushes. However, there is a boat launch just down the road for kayaks and canoes. Other things to note The lot is wooded and private, so guests will not see the neighbors from the cabin or the yard, but occasionally guests may hear road noise or neighbors (especially as the weather warms up).
