This is truly a unique cabin. Designed by architect David Neiman & featured in the book "Log Houses of the World," it combines Japanese style features & NW log-frame construction to create a truly unique experience. Included in the rental is use of the 13+ acre wooded property, including access to the middle fork of the Nooksack river. Fish, hike, and swim from your own private beach. The cabin is close to the year round outdoor recreational opportunities that Mt. Baker provides. 2 bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen bed. Both bedrooms access the deck separately. There is also a loft that can accommodate extra people and it comes with queen size inflatable mattress. Awesome bathroom, shower is 16' high to the skylight. Guests can use the propane fire table and the fire pit (weather permitting and no burn ban) and there's firewood to use (no charge). Guests have use of the property, including access to the river. Please be respectful of the environment and of the neighbors property boundaries. The owner lives on the property and is available if there are any questions or concerns and in case of an emergency. I want to ensure that you can relax and enjoy your stay in the woods. Great local store 3 miles from the cabin has everything you need for your getaway (snacks, alcohol, ice cream, etc). There is also a full grocery store 10 minutes from the cabin at Nugents Corner. Excellent Italian restaurant and several local brewery/pizza joints close by. World class skiing and snowboarding is 40 minutes away. Lots of places to hike, fish, camp, and mountain bike. I dislike renting places that give you a list of 100 things you can't do; so I don't do that. There are a few basic rules, that's it. I don't add on additional fees for every little thing (pets, firewood, an extra guest or two, etc).
