Sliding doors on each floor and an abundance of windows provide natural light and panoramic views of Windham Mountain, the Catskill mountain range, and the town of Windham below (Views are even better in the winter months). Fast internet that allows for many to be working at the same time (internet, video conferencing, etc.), with a dedicated work space downstairs with monitor, keyboard and mouse easily connected via a universal USB-C docking station. Upstairs level offers: - 2 large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (both with King beds) - A warm and inviting great room with wood burning fireplace and brand new gleaming hardwood floors - Open layout from living room to the dining area and kitchen, featuring radiant heated slate flooring, pine cabinets and granite countertops - Suspended track lighting and well-placed recessed and indirect lighting throughout brightening the entire upper floor - An additional half bath accessible from the living/dining/kitchen area that provides for convenient entertaining -Baby gates provided at the top of each of the 2 staircases for safety purposes Downstairs, you'll find: - 2 bedrooms with connected full baths (1 King, 1 Queen), one with separate tub and a steam shower, the other with a standing shower - 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds that sleeps 4 - An additional shared full bathroom (for 3 total on the lower level) with combo tub/shower - Another large living area with plenty of seating, mounted flat screen TV, a desk/work area with USB-C docking station, monitor, keyboard & mouse, and another smaller dining table. - A hidden speakeasy bar that can accommodate 6-8 people with a tv A large, second-level deck spans the majority of the front of the home, with views of the mountain, the town of Windham (just 5 mins away by car), and valley below, with a gas grill for BBQs and Adirondack-style seating. Ski/Boot room in the entryway downstairs with heated floors and plenty of storage provides the perfect place to get ready to ski & ride and get out of your gear at the end of the day. A laundry room with washer and dryer and 2nd refrigerator offers convenience for long stays and large groups. We'll be available by phone and email, but you will have privacy and full access to the property for yourself and group. Access for self check-in will be provided via a 4-digit PIN code to open the front door. While we will not be on site, we have a local property manager available for urgent issues that may arise during your stay. The home is located in a small community directly on Windham Mountain, which offers 1600 vertical feet of downhill skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer, both accessible merely steps away from the house (see satellite photos in listing showing property & ski access). Windham Mountain Adventure Park provides family fun with snow tubing, ice skating, and kids snowmobiling just a couple minutes down the mountain in the winter months, and Hunter Mountain offers more skiing, a zip line park, and nightlife only 20 minutes away. At the base of the mountain (5 min drive, or accessible via ski slopes & lifts) you'll find the Windham Mountain lodge, with multiple bars and restaurants available seasonally. There are 3 public golf courses within 5-10 minutes of the home: Windham Country Club (18 holes), Christman's Mountain Course (18 holes) and Christman's Valley Course (9 holes, perfect for beginners). The town of Windham is only about 5 minutes away also, offering restaurants ranging from casual family locations to fine dining, multiple bars, a movie theater, a miniature golf course, an ice cream shop, and a number of convenience stores offering all the essentials for your stay. The area also offers great hiking trails at multiple difficulty levels, including the picturesque Windham Path that offers relatively level walking along a mountain stream as well as the nearby picturesque Kaaterskill Falls. Colgate Lake, North-South Lake Campground, and Mine Kill State Park offer swimming options within 30 minutes with lakes and pools. Other pools in Windham town may be available for day passes as well, but COVID has led to some new restrictions for the 2020 season. Many music and food festivals come around the area in the warmer months, including some at Windham Mountain itself, and in the summer, enjoy the Zoom Flume Water Park, only 25 minutes away (reopening summer 2021). The Vineyard at Windham and the Windham Spa offer great options for relaxation and unwinding as well. The property has a large driveway that can accommodate 5+ cars, but there is an incline and street parking is not permitted by the community, so during periods of snow or ice, 4 wheel drive vehicles are recommended - no refunds will be provided for inclement weather. Smoking indoors is prohibited, and will result in the loss of your security deposit - smoking in outdoor areas is permitted, but ash tray use and proper disposal is required. Please contact us prior to booking a reservation with pets, an additional ($75) cleaning fee will apply. The home will be professionally cleaned after every stay, including any use by the owners.
