Modern Upstate Sanctuary
Set on eight acres in Columbia County on a quiet street, this is a sweet home in a lovely upstate town. There is plenty of outdoor space with three outdoor couches and two outdoor dining sets. The inside has four bedrooms, two baths and has been recently renovated with modern design. The house is set up for kids with toddler beds, strollers, a playground, toys, potties and high chairs. The pool is amazing and won a landscaping award - open mid june to mid sept (no heat). Our home is very comfortable with the living, dining and kitchen on the main floor and then plenty of bedrooms and other living spaces to spread out. We have a pool, a playground, a huge yard where you can set up our soccer goals or wiffle ball, a fully equipped kitchen, Apple TV, high speed cable wifi, and personal touches including local artwork; hand-knit blankets and eqsuite design. You will have access to the entire house, pond, pool ,pool house and renovated shed/yoga studio. There is a locked owner's closet with our linens and personal items that is off-limits. Our family lives next door if you need anything, but we will not be nearby. Chatham has everything you need. The main street in town has plenty of restaurants that have outdoor seating and takeout. Omi sculpture park is just 10 minutes away and offers a wonderful outdoor experience for people of all ages. There is an incredible market (The Berry Farm) and a great super market (Price Chopper). The house is 20 minutes from Great Barrington, Hudson and skiing at Catamount. Our street is quiet. From our home, you cannot see any neighbors and most likely won't hear them either. This place is so relaxing. You really need a car to get around but can pick up people at the Hudson train station if need be. We just had Spectrum wifi installed via cable so the house can reliably manage several devices and video calls at once. The house can fit 6 adults comfortably and children. More than 6 adults especially in winter months will be tight and we will charge $50/per person. Also, we love animals and used to allow pets but after some accidents on rugs, scratched floors and pet hair on furniture, I’m afraid we cannot continue to accommodate pets.
