Your private 525 sq. ft. one bedroom apartment over the garage is in a busy family, residential neighborhood. It's an easy walk to downtown. The apartment is comfortable for three adults max, private entrance, quiet and sunny. Remodeled in 2015, you will find everything you need for your mountain town vacation, yoga training, or a large quiet space for the business traveler with strong high speed internet . The spacious 525 sq. ft. non-smoking, pet-free (except for the dogs that live at the house) apartment over the garage has a private entrance, not accessible from inside my house. It accommodates a maximum of 3 adults and is well lit from large windows on three sides. A custom room divider, permanently suspended, separates the bedroom from the other spaces (see photos). The living room futon converts to a full size bed to accommodate up to 1 extra adult or child (please note the fee for third guest). The apartment has a new bathroom with a large walk-in tiled shower. It includes shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, hair dryer, and plenty of towels. There is a fully equipped kitchen, with a 2-burner cooktop, sink, refrigerator, microwave, electric tea kettle, toaster, and a compact smart oven. Additionally, the kitchen has salt, pepper, cooking oil, tin foil, and coffee assortments from local roasted ground coffee to Keurig to French Press - the choice is yours. There is a nice size closet with plenty of hangars, ironing board and iron, first-aid kit, and extra blankets. Also included is a portable crib and sheets. The apartment has a private deck with table and chairs in addition to full access to the downstairs patio and yard. Free High Speed (200+ mps) with a mesh router inside the AirBnB for strong and fast WiFi. Youtube TV (included) on a smart Samsung (2020) TV so you can use your Netflix, Amazon Prime, other streaming channels. I live on site and can always answer any questions. Just a text away. It is a 5 block walk to Main St., where you can find a locally owned movie theater, Marble Distillery, a couple breweries, restaurants, theater (acting), coffee shop, rec center, and so on; one block from bike path that can go North, East, South, or West; one block to the Third Street Center and library. Skiing? 35 - 45 minute drive to Snowmass, Buttermilk, and Aspen Ski Lifts as well as a 36 minute drive to Sunlight Mountain Ski Resort. AT and XC Skiing? You can ski Coal Basin (36 min) or Spring Gulch (15 min). Biking? Included are 2 Giant single-speed male and female town cruisers. You can get on a path that follows Hwy. 133 South for 5 miles with views of Mt Sopris, Cattle, and Mt Sopris (Did I mention?) A lot of people stop along that section to take photos of Mt Sopris. Additionally, a path connects you to Rio Grande Trail where you can bike up (elevation) to Aspen 30 miles or down (elevation) to Glenwood Springs 13 Miles. Or follow the path alongside Hwy 133 North and run straight to Mushroom Rock/Red Hill (both listed on AllTrails) All this while being on bike paths and not on the highway. 9.5 Miles to Mt Sopris Trailhead. Mountain biking? 3 miles to Prince Creek Trail parking in which you can connect to Hay Park on the shoulder of Mt. Sopris, Porcupine Loop, and as well as top of Crown Mountain. Fishing? With Carbondale within minutes of the Colorado, Frying Pan, Crystal, and Roaring Fork Rivers, it is a fisherman's paradise. Hiking and Running? The Valley is known for its numerous hiking trails. In addition to the Rio Grand Trail, I personally run a 2 mile loop only 2 blocks from the apartment with trails connecting you to more elevation and Mt. Sopris
