Country cabin with incredible views

A beautifully appointed artistic cabin will full amenities on a ridgeline of the Pecos wilderness valley. Breathtaking views of the mountains, wilderness, Rowe mesa and the Milky Way. The drive to Santa Fe is easy and peaceful (~35 minutes). The Pecos river swimming hole is accessible by trail from the house along with several miles of hikeable wilderness. Internet is reliable, high-speed, broadband. Has washer/dryer in unit. The space The location, southwestern detail and full amenities make for a unique, relaxing and comfy stay. You won't forget the breathtaking views of the Pecos Wilderness and our unbelievably vivid starry night skies. You will be contributing to an emissions-free tomorrow by staying in this solar-powered house (grid connected, you won't run out of power). Keep in mind this is a cabin in the wilderness. We clean thoroughly before every guest but dust and insects will inevitably find their way back inside. If that is an issue, this retreat may not be right for you. The large deck is exclusively for your use and is fully enclosed and gated. There is a guest house on the property that is also rented out so you may encounter fellow travelers and their pets in the driveway area. During the winter you are welcome to use the wood stove, you will need to provide your own wood. To keep the cabin cool in the summer there is a minisplit in the living room and a portable AC unit upstairs in the bedroom loft. This is an A-frame style building with a large bedroom loft. The bedroom is accessed by a long flight of wooden stairs. If you have trouble with long flights of stairs this might not be the place for you. There is also a folding futon couch on the lower level that some guests prefer over the upstairs loft. Guest access There is plenty of parking inside the gated yard, there is a parking spot exclusively for your use next to the cabin and additional parking in the main driveway. The large deck is exclusively for your use and is fully enclosed and gated. There is a guest house on the property that is also available on Airbnb so you may encounter fellow travelers and their pets in the driveway area. This is a rural area and there are no services nearby. The last mile of road is dirt, but is well maintained and accessible year round. Snow chains or 4x4 vehicles recommended in winter to be safe in the occasional heavy snow. Other things to note Please keep in mind this house is in the wilderness and while we clean thoroughly before every guest arrives, there will inevitably be some insects and dust. The nearest restaurants and grocery stores are 30 minutes away so you'll want to bring food or plan a quick trip to Santa Fe, Las Vegas or Pecos. We provide coffee, tea, hand soap and shower gel for short-term stays. There is a full kitchen and a charcoal grill for your convenience.
