The Roscoe Village Guesthouse

The Guesthouse is located in a village within the city of Chicago. We are in the heart of Roscoe Village and walking distance to the CTA brown line train. We are less than 1 mile west of Wrigley Field and a 20 minute train ride to downtown Chicago. Right outside your door are restaurants, boutique shopping and cafe's. Plenty of free street parking around the house. I offer this unique & personal space to guests when I am away. The space By definition, this is an actual Coach House that sits behind the primary building of the property. The house itself is somewhere around 100 years old and is in-between two taller buildings, omiting less light coming through to the bedrooms and living room. Although, the kitchen gets plenty of natural light. The unit is updated with forced air and a tankless water heater. The washer and dryer are very efficient. Shop for essentials in our area Target, Jewel, and Mariano's. Wrigley Field is a 20 minute walk just down Addison Street. Guest access The property has a bakery/café in front. There is a restaurant on each side of the gate entrance that leads to the coach house as well. The setting is unique but very comfortable. The bakery and all other occupants of the building use the same side gate and path of the building. It's not unusual for the side gate to stay unlocked or to hear people coming-and-going late at night. During the summer calendar, Roscoe Street is closed from 9am-11pm, Friday through Sunday. You will not be able to park on the street directly in front during these times. The street is closed off to accommodate outdoor seating for the local restaurants. Damen Street is free parking 24 hours. You can also find free parking on Roscoe St. east of Damen St. as well. Other things to note As noted, the building and the Guesthouse have a nostalgic feeling that we appreciate. The neighborhood also captures this older architectural vibe. We understand style is a preference so this may not be something that interests you. With that being said, our space is clean, private, and quirky. The unit has all the essentials you'll need after exploring Chicago. We are always updating and switching out furnishings. We try to update photos as quickly as possible. During your stay you may not see furnishings that are posted in photos. I will do my best on accommodating early check-in or late check-out. During peak season this is very difficult to coordinate and sometimes it just can not happen. You can check the calendar to see if the day before or after your reservation dates are open.
