Steps to the Beach!

Come live the California dream at Silver Strand Beach!! Amazing swimming, surfing, beach combing, sunsets and biking in a very quiet neighborhood! Close to marinas, restaurants, wineries, shopping and water sports. This beach house is perfect for family fun or a romantic encounter! The space Welcome to my beach house! My place is across the street from beautiful Silver Strand Beach. About My House The place is ideal for a couple or a family and friends. 2 bedrooms, one bathroom. One bedroom with 2 bunk beds (twin over fulls) and a full bed in the other bedroom. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room. Comfortably accommodates 5 guests The living/dining room is open to the kitchen, for easily socializing while preparing meals. Beautiful bamboo flooring and beach sand tile. Fully equipped kitchen and a table for 6+. Front patio for hanging out, BBQing and watching the neighborhood go by. Between the living room and the kitchen is a high breakfast bar for quick meals, sharing a good glass of California wine, and socializing with the chef. Pots, pans, plates, silverware and glasses etc... are provided. Tucked away in a closet is a one unit washer/dryer (make sure to set the dry cycle). Hi Speed WiFi wireless internet is included. A 40 inch flat TV with Blu Ray player, some internet TV options are available. Please note that there is no cable TV. Fairly good selection of DVD's available. Outdoor shower on the side of the house for rinsing off sand and salt. The house will be cleaned before check-in, and you will be provided with clean bedding & towels upon arrival. ABOUT SILVER STRAND BEACH This area will most likely come up on your map as Oxnard, but the neighborhood is called Silver Strand Beach and is actually in Ventura County. This desirable location is pretty far off the major freeway to Los Angeles and is very quiet, even at high summer. Corner store & restaurants just down the street, not to mentions Pepe's Tacos!! (you must try their chile verde burrito, it is AWESOME!!) Right across the street is the Beachcomer Tavern serving wine and beer, and live music most weekends. Up Harbor Blvd toward Ventura is Ventura Harbor marina with restaurants, boat rentals, kayaks and paddle boards, whale watching expeditions. 15 mins. to The Collection mall where you can catch a movie, see a comedy show, get a fine meal and shop. Charming old town Ventura only 15 mins. north. On Sundays the harbor holds a farmers market. For being such a beautiful beach, it is quiet most of the time. Make sure to catch the spectacular sunsets over Channel Islands National Park. There is usually decent surf and boogie boards are provided for your enjoyment. Beach chairs and umbrellas also provided. Plenty of places to eat and things to do so please do not hesitate to ask! Great places near by: 15 minutes to Downtown Ventura and Ventura Pier 35 minutes to Ojai 45 minutes to Santa Barbara 30 minutes to Malibu 75 minutes to downtown Los Angeles & Hollywood 2 hours to Disneyland The Neighborhood Great neighborhood for walking about, beach combing, looking for dolphins and sea lions (sometimes whales) in the channel, watching the sunset over Channel Islands National Park. Walk to the beach in seconds. Most of the time it is peaceful and calm. Guest access Guests will have the entire house to themselves. Other things to note Cellphone Reception Unfortunately some cell phone providers do not reach this neighborhood. ATT is OK, TMobile does not cover the whole neighborhood. I do not know about Sprint, Verizon or other providers. Wifi calling over the internet is usually sufficient. Please note, there is no air conditioning in the house.
