Our vacation home is a much-loved retreat for extended family, we are opening it to guests for the first time since refurbishing the interior. The house is convenient to Highway 1, and a terrific, full-service grocery store is only 3 miles away. Access to the beach requires hiking ability, and the abundance of wildlife (including puma and coyote) makes it unsafe for pets. We can be contacted by text, email and phone nearly round-the-clock. On-site services can take time to schedule in this remote location, we will do our best to respond promptly. This ten-acre gated site offers private access to a wild and gorgeous beach where you can walk for miles. A towering rock shaped like a bare foot (or the Sphynx - you decide), stands at the base of the switchback beach trail, and can be explored when exposed at low tide. The land is home to native plants and wildlife including deer, hawks, owl, bunnies, foxes, coyotes and even (reportedly) an occasional elk or puma. Adjacent to wide-open grazing lands, with a view of the Point Arena Lighthouse. You will need a car to get here. There's a terrific full-service grocery three miles away in Manchester. You can walk for miles on the beach at low tide, Manchester State Beach is a two mile walk along the shore. We're a short drive to the Point Arena Lighthouse and its amazingly scenic walking trails.
