Romantic Hideaway- jacuzzi, beach day!

This mother-in-law suite is romantic and luxurious, in beautiful surroundings. Nestled in the woods you will enjoy peace and quiet. This romantic hideaway has separate parking, walkway, patio & entrance. You also have a 2-person jacuzzi tub, fire pit, and BBQ grill. Country roads are safe for walking, biking, jogging. Day trip to Atlantic beaches (19+mi.), Dover (24mi.), DC, and Philly (2 hrs each) The space This romantic suite is 1200 sq. ft. with cathedral ceilings, a plush four-poster Queen bed, and a full-size pull-out sofa. Relax in your jacuzzi tub for 2. The kitchenette is ready for cooking: microwave, refrigerator, toaster, counter-top oven, hotplate, dishes, spices, Nespresso machine, premium coffee, and milk frother to make cappuccinos and lattes! Enjoy making Belgian waffles with the waffle maker (batter, syrup provided). Cuddle up by the electric fireplace and watch TV. Enjoy a gorgeous outdoor view on the deck with a swing, small grill, and fire pit. Listen to the sounds of silence and nature while you watch 80 acres of farmland being worked. Play badminton, volleyball, and cornhole in your backyard! This room can accommodate up to 6, with the use of our cushion-top air mattress. Kindly note that there are two retreat spaces on the other side of the property/private residence. Most of the three retreat spaces have a personal patio, fire pit, etc. Other things to note ***PARTIES*** Because our property is a nature retreat, we do not permit partying. Music must be kept at a non-disruptive volume regardless of the time, and quiet hours are 9pm-9am. We definitely encourage you to unwind, whether that be with a glass of lemonade or a margarita (or two!), but excessively loud or disruptive guests will be asked to leave and will not receive a refund. ***PETS*** Your furry family members are more than welcome at the nature retreat! We do ask that they are predictably friendly around other animals and people, and that they are up to date on all vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. While here, you will likely meet our family dog Rome. He is a fabulous and very social host, and will probably ask you to kindly throw the ball for him. ***INTERNET*** We are in the countryside and because of this we rely on satellite WiFi. This is available to our guests, but it should be noted that the internet can sometimes be spotty, particularly during storms. Please, no downloading, streaming, etc. We provide DISH TV; if you will need a very reliable internet connection for work or play, we definitely recommend bringing along a hotspot. ***CRITTERS*** You are in the country in the woods, surrounded by farmland. We have all sorts of crawling and flying "critters" living here. These include butterflies, centipedes, hornets, carpenter bees, ticks, chiggers, fireflies, dragonflies, ladybugs, moths, ants, and more. They are vital to our wonderful, healthy, fragile ecosystem. Larger wildlife-birds, heron, vultures, bats, turkeys, hawks, owls, turtles, frogs, snakes, lizards, beaver, fox, deer, and 20 + variety of songbirds...are all dependent on "critters" in one way or another. For this reason, we decided against spraying the entire property with insecticide. We do our best to keep them out of the living areas by minimally spraying around buildings. Scientists say insects will be the last to survive and based on experience, we believe it! The time of year will determine which critters will be neighboring. They are most active in warm summer months. Please help us with the ongoing battle by: 1) Taking them out and releasing them 2) Using swatters provided 3) Putting food away and keep the counters clean and dry- as water attracts them 4) Keeping window/doors closed and use screens Please be aware that chiggers and ticks are in the woods- so when walking there, use the provided Off with DEET bug spray!
