Cedar and Nest - Cozy Cabin on Nest Lake
Cedar and Nest is a cozy A-frame style cabin tucked away in the forest and on the shore of Nest Lake in Spicer, MN. Cedar and Nest is a recently renovated 1950’s cabin located in a quiet bay of Nest Lake that is a locally known fishing spot and has a great view of the Nest Lake islands. Inside you will find 4 recently renovated bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a full kitchen and laundry. A spiral staircase will take you upstairs to the A-Frame family room with a smart TV + WIFI for cozy nights in. From the main floor living room, guests have access to a furnished outdoor patio. From the second floor family room, guests have access to a second floor deck with a beautiful view of Nest Lake. We also have a screen porch that is great for kids and fun loving adults alike. The screen porch is furnished with a queen size bed and a dinette table- so you can have a rustic, yet bug free glamping experience away from the main cabin. Outside: The lake is accessible by a small set of stairs leading to a dock and we provide two kayaks, two canoes and a private dock for your use. We also have a fire pit near the lake, so the chairs and outside blankets to make your experience extra cozy! There are plenty of trees outside to hang up your favorite hammock for an outdoor snooze. We do contactless check in/check out but are available via the Airbnb App for any questions that may arise. We like to meet our guests at the beginning of their stay, and give them privacy after that. We live close to the cabin and are available to assist in person with anything that cannot be solved via the Airbnb App. The Property: Cedar and Nest shares a driveway with the hosts, Jeff and Karen, so they are close in case guests need anything. There are neighbors in the vicinity who have dogs who may visit, so be aware of this when staying at Cedar and Nest. The Lake: The beach at Cedar and Nest is rocky and great for fishing and swimming, as long as you are careful. Along with many other lakes in MN, Zebra Mussels have made their way into Nest Lake. We highly recommend bringing water shoes to wear while in the lake because Zebra Mussels can be sharp and hurt your feet. We also recommend that if you are using your own water equipment, that you follow MN DNR protocol for preventing the spread of zebra mussels. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/invasives/aquaticanimals/zebramussel/index.html
