Other things to note IMPORTANT – Information about the hot tub, air conditioning, power supply and amenities We are committed to making your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Our chalet is equipped with several facilities to enhance your experience, including: • Outdoor hot tub (in winter) The hot tub is available to make the most of your stay. However, during the winter months, some limitations may occur due to: - extreme weather conditions (intense cold, storms, power outages), - more complex maintenance related to our location in a remote area, - heavy use that can sometimes make the water slightly cloudy despite rigorous maintenance. We always do everything we can to guarantee a clean, functional and pleasant hot tub. However, the hot tub may be temporarily unavailable for reasons beyond our control. Thank you for understanding. • Air conditioning Our accommodation is equipped with an air conditioning system (a wall unit) to ensure your comfort on hot days. However, due to our remote location, it can sometimes be difficult to get a technician quickly in the event of a breakdown or technical problem. We always try our best to resolve any situation quickly and ensure your comfort. Thank you for understanding. • Power outages The chalet is located in a rural area, in a peaceful natural environment, surrounded by trees and vegetation. As in many remote areas of Quebec, the power supply depends on overhead lines, which can lead to temporary power outages (especially in the event of strong winds, storms or falling branches). In the event of a power outage, Hydro-Québec intervenes as quickly as possible, but the delay can sometimes be longer than in urban areas (this can range from a few minutes to several hours, depending on the extent of the breakage). As is the case for many rural homes, the cottage is entirely dependent on electricity: water, toilets, heating and appliances stop working during a power outage. We want to inform our guests of this reality in order to better manage expectations and ensure a pleasant and surprise-free stay. Thank you for your understanding. • Other amenities We make every effort to ensure the proper functioning of all the equipment and appliances available to you (spa, air conditioning, appliances, etc.). However, due to our remote location, it can sometimes be difficult to quickly get a technician in the event of a technical failure or unexpected breakdown. We sincerely thank you for your understanding of these unforeseen events that may arise despite all our efforts. How to use the HOT TUB For hygiene and maintenance reasons, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, it is highly recommended that you take a shower before entering the hot tub. The water in the hot tub contains a significant number of chemicals. These products are intended to disinfect the water. When you enter the hot tub without taking a shower, here's what happens. This mixture of your secretions, your waste and these disinfectant products leads to the formation of contaminants. These are the contaminants that are the basis of the bad odors that some hot tubs give off. Your skin is also not spared, as you will be directly exposed to these contaminants. So be careful. On the other hand, remember to rinse well, soap residues will cause foam. Detergent residues in swimsuits can also cause foaming, so remember to rinse them thoroughly with clean water before bathing.
