Cottonwood Ski Chalet
Cottonwood Ski Chalet
Description
Tucked away in the Wasatch Mountain Range and amidst a beautiful aspen grove, you'll find our little Cottonwood Chalet—an intimate A-Frame cabin retreat, perfect for small groups. The space This A-Frame cabin was originally built in 1969. We've maintained the original structure but have recently renovated the interior space for comfort and safety. Please note there is a small, narrow staircase to access the loft bedroom. There is no onsite laundry. We have recently upgraded our internet to Verizon Home 5G Plus with good performance (250 mbps). Guest access - Fully equipped kitchen for cooking - Only 4 minutes away from Solitude Mountain Resort - Less than 7 minutes away from Brighton Resort and Nordic Center - 40 minutes to Salt Lake City International Airport. - 36 minutes downtown Salt Lake City restaurants and shopping - Large front and back decks Other things to note THERE IS NO LAUNDRY ONSITE. GUESTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SNOW REMOVAL OF THE WALKWAYS IN THE WINTER MONTHS. THERE IS ONLY 1 PARKING SPOT AVAILABLE. Please plan accordingly. NO PHOTOSHOOTS without prior approval. Contact us for pricing information. If shoots take place without permission and fees paid, your deposit will be retained. NO EVENTS or meetings without prior approval. Contact us for pricing information. NO PETS are allowed in the canyon where our chalet is located. It is a watershed canyon that provides drinking water to Salt Lake county. There is a fine of $600 if the sheriffs or neighbors see you with a dog in the canyon. IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: - An all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive vehicle with snow tires in the winter time is required. It may snow heavily anytime between November through May, and the neighborhood roads may not be fully plowed in a timely manner. Low-clearance vehicles are not recommended, but may be able to make the drive depending on weather. - The stairs going up to the lofted bedroom are steep and narrow (somewhat like climbing a ladder), please go up slowly, use the hand-rail, and exercise caution. - The front deck stairs are original to the property and are narrow & creaky when going up the center aisle. Please watch your step and exercise caution when stepping up onto the deck—we've found that going up on either the left or right side feels more sturdy.
