The space Thoughtfully crafted, custom features include maple accent walls in the living room, master bedroom/bathroom and maple kitchen countertops and cabinetry. Flooring is stained concrete on the main level, heated tile in the main bathroom, and Hickory along the stairs and throughout the loft area. The metal work featured on the stair railing was custom designed and handcrafted by the contractors, as was the wooden sliding barn door in the master bedroom. The custom patio table and benches are made of ash by an N.C. wood worker. It’s preserved using a traditional Japanese wood burning technique called Shou Sugi Ban. The metal legs for the table and benches were also handcrafted by the contractors. The bunk beds in the loft were custom built by wood workers out of Franklin, NC. Large windows provide abundant natural light and mountain views. Outdoor areas include both covered and exposed patios and a fire pit seating area. This is an ideal spot for couples, small families or a small group of friends. Sleeps four comfortably, but can accommodate up to six people who are comfortable with each other. The master bedroom features a Queen-sized bed; the sleeping loft contains a set of Twin XL bunk beds and a futon that can transition into a Queen-sized bed. An additional folding mattress (firm) provides additional comfort for sleeping on the futon. The master bathroom features heated floors, a walk-in shower and air jet tub large enough for two.
