Made beautiful by a Topanga Craftsman and local artists, there is a feeling of old world artistry with all ammenities. The house rests on one of the first and original homesteaded properties in Topanga dating back to the 1800s. Private entrance and parking along with full kitchen and bathroom with all one could need for a relaxing stay. Come rest, take a breath .... a charming homestead stay The space We live on a Homestead with horses and chickens and all the wildlife that comes to visit. If you like fresh eggs, we have them. The guesthouse is a perfect place to relax. As you drive up the driveway you can feel the rich history. This was one of the first homesteads here in Topanga. You enter the charming homestead cottage from your own front porch. There is a comfy queen bed, a bohemian chaise, a little desk. The kitchen with a cosy seating area has everything you need. There is a small library of eclectic books , some wood blocks and some games for you to get creative while you are here. There is an outside deck with 2 chairs and some blankets Surrounding: This is a small homestead compound. There are stables, corrals, a chicken coop, a little schoolhouse and the main house. You are surrounded by animals. This is definitely a city escape !!! The Cottage is nestled next to a giant old grandfather olive tree . Chickens might cross your path. If you are lucky Mr P the local Peacock is landing somewhere. You will hear owls at night calling each other across the canyon. We live here and happily share the place and this experience with you. Parking: The Cottage shares a driveway with the main house. You can choose to conveniently pull up your car right to the porch or ( if you do not want to see your car :) choose to park on the street ( make sure that all tires are off the street) Guest access Your cottage is private and you may access it from the front. There is a back door that is locked and has black out curtains to allow privacy to the property behind. You may allow your pets to walk on the property in front of the cottage but please clean up after them. Other things to note If you are bringing your pet, please let us know in advance and please do not allow them to sleep or jump on any of the beds or furniture. We welcome no more than 2 pets who are friendly and will get along with humans and our other animals who are out on the property. Please do not leave your pet alone for any extended amount of time in the cottage.
