Lone Cone cabin @ Kokopelli Cabins is one of two cabins on the property and are new as of Feb. 2018. We look forward to each and every guest. Come enjoy a day or two at Mesa Verde, Hovenweep National park, Mcphee lake (less than 5 min away) River, bike trails, hiking trails. In the winter ski areas within an hour some 2 hours away. Snowshoeing trails and so much more! Telluride, Durango, Rico, Ouray are all close for a day trip. Cabin has a queen bed in bedroom & a new sleeper sofa. Traveling with other families? Your family, but want your own space? Look into renting both of our cabins on our property. Lone Cone cabin sleeps up to 4 and Goodman Cabin sleeps up to 7. Please reach out if you are interested in both cabins. You will have access to a garage that has two sets of full washer and dryer available. You have your own firepit for outdoor relaxing. If you need us, we can be available. If not we leave you to enjoy your vacation. You will get a keyless entry code to access the cabin before you arrive. Small town, country living. 16 miles to the main entrance of Mesa Verde. Great area to bring your bikes, ATV, boat, winter months skis, snowshoes, etc. We do have the sofa bed, but we also have a comfortable EZ up bed that guests can use. It is in a roller bag in the garage. We have 2 of them for your use. If you choose to use the sofa bed which is a great mattress for a sofa bed though if you need to you can grab the foam mattress pad provided also in the garage. Our cleaning lady that comes through each and every visit to do a deep clean from top to bottom for the cleanest, safest stay. We have always done this and will not stop ever. We respectfully decline any animals on the property. We have two cabins on the property and not all guests are comfortable with animals and many have allergies. We also have many deer that hangout on the property, occasionally other wild life (bear, racoons, skunks, etc). This can become a problem with having other animals on the property. We appreciate you understanding and your cooperation with our request not to have animals. There are multiple wall heaters throughout the cabin for warmth (for the winter and sometimes spring weather). The AC unit is a window unit that cools the whole cabin down. Since it can still freeze in Colorado into May. We do not get it out of winterizing mode until end of May/Beginning of June. In our area opening up some windows can cool the cabin down. In rare cases when we have long winters or cold freezes we have to wait on the installation of the window AC unit. If you have any questions. please contact us.
