Our home is located 20 minutes from the town of Stowe, at the beginning of a cul-de-sac in the quaint village of Hyde Park. Fully renovated, with heated hardwood floors and amenities, it's spacious layout is ideal for a group or family. In any season, it's location makes it the perfect home-base for a quintessential Vermont vacation. Whether it's skiing, hiking, foliage, or breweries -- you can access it all from here! This restored 19th century 4-bedroom house, built in 1875, has plenty of space to relax or have a small gathering with friends or family. It truly has everything you would need for a weekend getaway or an extended stay. The neighborhood is a quiet one, so we ask that you please respect this during your stay. There are three bedrooms upstairs: one with a queen bed, one with a twin bed, and a large master room with a queen and a twin bed. There is also a room downstairs with a full-sized bed. You can leave your bedding and towels at home since they'll all be provided! The kitchen is updated and fully functional with everything that you would need. It's equipped with an oven, stove, fridge, small wine fridge, toaster, dishes, coffee maker, silverware, pots, and pans, etc. There is a full bathroom downstairs with a freestanding bathtub and shower, as well as a washer and drier. The full bathroom upstairs is in the master bedroom and has a shower. The living room has a 50” HD TV (with cable and DVD Player), as well as surround sound speakers with an auxiliary setup. While the basement is absolutely unfinished, the pool table makes it worth spending some time down there! Other than a small lived-in apartment that is attached to the home with a private entrance, guests will have access to the entire house. This includes the front and back yard with fire pit and outdoor furniture, basement (not fully finished), garage, closets, dressers, etc. There is a two-car garage (with space for one car) and private driveway with space for three cars. Our front door has a keyless touchscreen lock so you can arrive and enter at any hour after the check-in time. We can also be reached by phone, text, email or Airbnb app if needed. In general though, guests will be left to complete privacy while enjoying the house. You can walk, trail run, bike, snowshoe, XC ski, and snowmobile this trail for endless miles depending on the season. The best way to get around is with a personal vehicle. The Burlington Airport (BVT) is 1 hour away. You can either go Route 15 almost all the way to avoid Stowe traffic, or you can go through Stowe on Route 100 and then take Highway 89 North up to Burlington. The Morrisville-Stowe State Airport (MVL) is 10 minutes away from the house. An airline called Tradewind Aviation is now flying in and out of here from White Plains, New York. Green Mountain Transit is the best public transportation to and from Waterbury from downtown Morrisville. The nearest Amtrak station is 37 minutes away in Waterbury at Hwy 2 and Park Row. There is also an Enterprise Rent-A-Car 5 minutes away from the house at 897 Brooklyn Street, Morrisville, VT 05661. We've found that guests who rent our house with the purpose of working or studying remotely do so with great success! Our wifi is very strong and can handle multiple devices streaming HD videos, video conferencing, and/or gaming at the same time. There is also a Post Office only a quarter mile walk away in case you need to mail anything out. We have also had long-term guests mail items to our address as well.
