Quiet Getaway Near Cherry Beach in Harbert, MI

Year-round home in Harbert, MI close to Lake Michigan beaches, shops, restaurants, wineries & breweries. In the Summer, Cherry Beach is the best in Harbor Country! In the Fall, our 2.5 acres of woods are a tranquil show of color! When it snows, you're in a winter-wonderland! A great time in ANY season. Families with kids love it here. There’s plenty of privacy space for down-time relaxation as well as together-time with friends/family. Walk/bike to the beach along the new Marquette Trail. The space The open concept living/dining/kitchen space on the first floor is perfect for entertaining, cooking with friends & family, and spending time together. Lots of windows let in light and allow you to enjoy the peaceful woods surrounding our home. The "Bunk Room" on the first floor has its own entry, and sleeps up to 6 guests. There are three additional bedrooms on the second floor. The Master bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower. The remaining two upstairs bedrooms share a bath (with shower). There is also a full bathroom on the first floor, with a tub. Our lovely screened-in porch stretches across the front of the house, and lets you enjoy the outdoors even when it's raining! A great place to turn on the cozy string lights and enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings while listening to the tranquil sounds of nature. Our back deck (in the back yard) is perfect for sunning in the afternoon. A snooze in the hammock is always nice! There is a fire pit in the back yard as well... great for roasting marshmallows & making s'mores after dinner! We also have a few "beach bikes", some beach toys & "floaties" for the kids, and some games for our guests to enjoy. Please make sure you put everything back when you are done so that our next guests can enjoy these, too! There is also a TV inside with a Roku so you can watch movies or shows and an audio/stereo system that you can hook up to your phone via Bluetooth. Guest access You have access to the whole house. There is free, onsite parking available in the driveway for about 4-5 cars. Other things to note We are an easy walk or bike ride or to Cherry Beach or Harbert Beach. There is a bike rack at Cherry Beach to secure your bike! If you have a large group and lots of beach toys and coolers...you can drive there & drop your stuff. Parking is limited at Cherry Beach and there is a $15 parking fee at the kiosk on site. The new Marquette Trail passes in front of our property. It provides protected walking and biking path along Red Arrow Highway connecting from Sawyer to Cherry Beach Road, then down towards Lakeside, Union Pier, & New Buffalo. During the summer months, we require a 7 night minimum stay with Saturday check in and check out.
