Awesome Lake View. A-Frame summer Cottage on Lake Erie with plenty of parking for our fishing guest boat trailer, 4 bed, 1 bath (tub shower), lovely corner Lakefront/Lake view and rocky beach in front of house. Loft with pool table. Built in 70’s, early American decor. Good for women’s retreat in fall, host an educational retreat, or a couple who wants to spend time together in a quiet place with and excellent view (extra guest fee over 4 guest, 5 people max). Prices include bed tax of 6%. The space Legend has it that Danny won this wooded property in a friendly card game in the 70's and eventually built this A-frame house affording the Million-Dollar View! Keeping the early American decor of the 70's with the red fridge and stove makes it a step back in time. This property will offer you an inspiring view.  It has one of the most desirable views of the Lake and Cedar Point Amusement Park.  It is from this view that my father, Dan Ahner created and fulfilled his dreams. (i.e. Caddy Shack Square downtown Kelleys Island etc). If you would like to bring an extra person to brainstorm your future or just share the view, the house has capacity for 5 adults (note: extra guest fee over 4 guests).  We have a septic system so cannot support guests over 5. You can easily see in the pictures that this property is 1970’’s early American style and kept clean and tidy. Whole house AC available but you may want to turn off the AC and keep the windows and doors open to enjoy the lake breeze and listening to the lapping of the Lake on the shore to get the full experience. Window fans available in closet. I never remember having the AC on at all when I stayed there but people have a different standard these days. Think old school and if you like that, you will love it. There are 2 bedrooms which each have double beds and 1 bedroom which has twin beds. We are known for my large selection of pillows from foam to down, flat to puffy, soft to more firm. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo with shower curtain. The Kitchen has fridge/freezer, dishwasher, stove/oven, microwave, coffee pot, keurig machine, dishes, glasses, utensils, pans. (All appliances need to be turned off when not attended). Grill with added burner located on Deck for grilling, frying and to keep super strong food smells out of the house (please be considerate of the next guest and thanks for cleaning up the grill after) . Bed linens, bath towels and beach towels provided. Washer and Dryer available for your use. We have an Ecowasher oxygenator (cleans and disinfects) which only uses cold water along with and laundry magnets, so no soap needed but if you feel the need, no more than 1 Tablespoon of laundry detergent There’s room for 2 vehicles or one vehicle and trailer. Basic Amazon prime available (i.e. internet TV only) But why watch TV when you have a firepit circle right outside your door and an amazing view! No worries about added bed tax when you arrive, it is included in the price. If you still need more space, the garage was split into an apartment for his daughter Patty, and eventually an upstairs apartment was added, commonly called "the Condo" and is also available through AirBNB (i.e. Pattys Condo on the Lake with one double bed hosts 2 person max). I hope that the time you spend on this property inspires you to become the best version of yourself.  This is a place where you can take a break from your life to think beyond your imagination or just kick back and enjoy the million-dollar view. You have full access to the house. Please note: Wifi is available but direct ethernet connection to router is not listed as an amenity and is not available in the house. The island has an ongoing challenge with internet service but generally it is stable but not guaranteed. Other things to note (Please read Arrival Guide/ House Manual before arrival) Please note: Starting 2025, there will be a 500.00 security deposit required by host due to lack of Airbnbs resolution in the past and you will need to contact her to arrange to provide your credit card info to cover any damage which airbnb does not cover. Housing limits: due to new island housing regulations no more than 5 people including infants and children are legally permitted in my house. Please seek other housing if you have more people. I also have a small condo above the garage that can be rented which accommodates up to 2 adults/people max (1 dbl bed) if you need extra room. I have been informed recently by a guest that the whole house A/C unit does not cool one of the bedrooms sufficiently if the bedroom doors are closed even with the vents open…. We installed extra vents in the rooms for added cooling and there are window fans provided if you want the lake, breeze air choose your room accordingly. As a family home and summer cottage we kept the bedroom doors open and fans in windows to hear the lake most of the summer ;) No parties or events please. The septic is not set up for it and we like to keep the serenity of the property. NO SMOKING inside home Children under 21 would need to be supervised. House is not set up for small children. No Animals/Pets (Owner has allergies. For pet-friendly options, please contact the Kelleys Island chamber for a large listing of pet-friendly properties on the island. Self check-in with keypad (request code before your visit for smooth transition) Stone/Rock beach out front of house (next door dock not included, please be respectful and do not wonder onto the neighbors dock) Ping pong table stored under pool table can be used on top of Pool Table. If you make that choice, please convert back to pool table for next guest. (thanks in advance) Owner lives behind house in lower garage apartment. Noise level must be kept reasonable so as not to bother neighbors at any time. Windows/doors need to be closed (locked as well to protect valuables) when not in the house in case of unexpected rain which can damage interior. Cleanliness has been and still is our priority (a little OCD). We utilize a probiotic sanitizing spray on surfaces that last 5-7 days for added safety. Beds are currently made up with clean sheets only and summer blanket are provided on the side if needed.
