Happy Lake Cottage is a classic Maltby-built cabin blending rustic charm with modern comfort, situated on the lakefront and within walking distance of the Village. The cabin offers a cozy living area, updated kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and modern amenities including high-speed internet, a washer/dryer combo, and a propane BBQ for outdoor dining. Step inside Happy Lake Cottage, the newly updated cottage style cabin. With carefully chosen furniture and decor, it is the mosey cozy place for your Big Bear trip. Entering the family room area, there is ample seating, a wood burning fireplace and occasional chairs. The dining area, just off the kitchen has outdoor access. Sit on the covered porch, grill on the propane BBQ grill. Step down to the waters edge, where you can fish from the shore line. Back inside the home you have a newly updated kitchen with granite counters, new appliances including a gas range/oven, fridge and freezer combo, toaster oven and microwave. There are windows along one wall to provide natural light and an amazing view of the lake. The master, located downstairs, has a king bed and a door leading out to the covered porch. There is a full bath and a new LG washer/dryer combo unit. There is also an additional full bath in the downstairs hallway. Head upstairs where you will find the two other bedrooms in the cabin. The first, having two entrances has two twin beds and at the end of the walkway is the last bedroom with a twin size bed. While having newer furnishings, linens and decor, new hardware, appliances and fixtures, the owners left the original charm of the 1940's built Maltby cabin. Rustic, yet elegant with cottage charm this cabin is the epitome of what Big Bear was all about. This is the perfect place to start a family tradition. Lake levels vary throughout the year and boat docks availability is not guaranteed at the time of your arrival. Destination Big Bear is not responsible for the level of water in the lake during the course of guest's stay. Please contact us to inquire about the most up-to-date lake levels for this lakefront property. 2024-1927 City of Big Bear Lake "Good Neighbor Policy" Do not exceed the occupancy limit Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay. The maximum number of adult occupants may be less than the total maximum occupancy. NO PARTIES ALLOWED. No parking in street or yard Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior sign. No amplified music 24/7 Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music carrying beyond the property line. Head inside at 10:00 p.m. Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Take trash to dumpster locations Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite. Clean Bear locations: 41790 Garstin Drive & 39690 Big Bear Blvd. Fines The minimum fine for violating the rules stated previously is $500 per violation. A second offense is $1000 per violation. Eviction Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules and expectations will be evicted without a refund. In addition, costly citations may be issued to the undersigned. City Ordinance Occupancy for Adults: 8 adults. Guest access Access to entire home. Other things to note The neighbors for this home are very sensitive to people going onto their property line.
