In a beautiful rural setting, attached to 'Moulin Toucan', a 300 year old mill house, this tastefully renovated Gîte offers an idyllic, tranquil retreat. This fully equipped 3 bed Gîte, offers a truly home from home holiday experience. Conveniently located 25 mins from Limoges airport. The space The lounge and dining areas are very comfortable and the new, fully equipped kitchen has everything for your catering needs. All bedrooms (2 double beds, 2 twin beds and a pull out sofa) have high quality mattresses, linen and a variety of pillows, to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep. The Gîte also has full facilities to accommodate a baby, on request. The modern and light bathroom is equipped with a vanity unit, mirror, light, combination bath/shower, washbasin and a toilet. The garden has been designed for maximum versatility with an exterior dining area, shaded relaxation area, BBQ “kitchen”, play area and above all, the private river, pool and sunbathing deck. For the sun-worshippers, the pool area benefits from direct sunshine throughout the day. For those wishing to escape the heat, the cool area next to the river is ideal to sit and enjoy a drink, listen to music and read a book. You might also be lucky and spot the local Kingfisher as it looks for a meal in the river under the trees. An ideal spot to unwind and relax alongside the calming and relaxing sound of nature and the river. Guest access Guests have free on site secure parking. Full access to their own private outdoor space /garden which includes a dining area, a comfortable seating area overlooking the river and a patio and gravelled area to play games such as pétanque, table tennis, darts, table footballetc. Other things to note We strive to provide all our guests with a stay that they would expect from a 4 star facility. However, due to Covid-19, we have had to make some alterations to our normal protocols and facilities to reassure our guests that the facilities are cleaned and prepared to a standard that will reduce any risk of cross contamination, whilst allowing them to enjoy their stay at our Gite. New Procedures 1. Check in is strictly at 4pm to allow sufficient time between guests and for deep cleaning and disinfection. 2. The Owners will maintain the recommended 1.5 mtr distance with guests at all times and limit contact with guests during their stay. We can be contacted via text and will endeavour to answer all enquiries as soon as possible. 3. All tourist information leaflets will be in a plastic folder for each group of guests. If guests require any further tourist information, we suggest looking up details on line at the tourist information sites, or visiting the local tourist information centre in Bellac, as suggested in the handbook. 4. Guests will be provided with single use washing up cloth, which need to be disposed of after each visit and disinfectant for the kitchen surfaces. 5. Guests will be provided with hand sanitiser, to be used on entry and when existing the Gite. 6. Whilst guests will be provided with linen for the bed (sheets, duvets etc) Guests will be required to bring their own pillows and towels to avoid cross contamination. Please note, that all soft furnishings will be removed from the Gite for the foreseeable future, for example; scatter cushions, throws etc. 7. Guests are required to use disinfectant when handling or using any toys, games, TV remote controlsetc. 8. It is recommended that all cutlery and crockery is washed in the dishwasher at 60 degrees to avoid cross contamination. 9. Guests are required to strip/remove all used bed linen on check out and place it in the bath. All the advertised facilities at the Gite will remain available for guests, including the swimming pool and outdoor games etc as they are exclusively for guests staying in the Gite and will be treated and disinfected between groups. We trust that by making these changes and working with our guests we can provide a safe environment for guests to enjoy and relax during their stay at Gite Moulin du Toucan.
