The Machiya Inn「Crimson」has been converted into the licensed accommodation, which can accommodate up to 4 people. We rent it out to only one group at a time. This means that you have an entire house for yourselves. Perfectly comfortable for couples and best fitted for families or groups. We retain some classic Kyoto exteriors and interiors, western comforts like beds, kitchenette, dining table and chairs are also well furnished. During that period the kimono was in the prime, every family in this area engaged in handmade brocade, and the high-class brocade made in this place belongs to the well-known “NISHIJIN”. The strong sense of Kyoto could be experienced only by rambling the everlasting Machiya Inn, zigzag and winding paths, as well as the traditional buildings with thin-grid doors and windows. Convenient for life: on the commercial street filled with sense of the times and atmosphere of humanism, the convenience stores, supermarkets, duty-free cosmeceutical shops, lamian noodle restaurants and Japanese-style snack stores are spreading all over. People could even encounter the bayadere from Kamishichiken and experience the public bath culture of Japanese style. Guest access - Smoking is strictly prohibited in the whole property and in the courtyard. - No cooking facilities in guesthouse, but cups bowls chopsticks plates are provided. - Do not boil instant noodle in kettle, it makes smelly and difficult to deodorize. Host carries a fine up to JPY 5,000 to buy a new one. - Please do not make noise after 22:00 and early morning. - Please feel free to use the air conditioner and gas fan heater (served in winter), but remember to swith off when you go out. - Please enjoy the supplies and amenity, but do not take appliances and decorations out. - Please take off shoes and wear slippers at porch. - Please lock the room when you leave, and keep the key well. If you lose it, we have to ask you to pay for a new one. - Please keep time for check-in and check-out. You have to pay extra charge (half price of the day) for a late check-out if we do not give a permission in advance. - Please do not throw the waste outdoors, ask host to collect garbage if you need. - Please make sure an extra guest fee would be requested, if the number of guests increase before check-out.
