Heron View Room at Carousel Bed and Breakfast
This spacious room features a Jacuzzi tub and king size Bed. The room is built as an addition to a converted barn built around 1900. The farm consists of 10 acres with an orchard and is along the Conewango Creek. Conveniently located within the Allegheny National Forest and the Kinzua Dam area near Warren, PA and in close proximity to Jamestown, NY and Chautauqua Lake. Great hiking all around. We do not charge additional fees except for extra guests, pets and if you chose to have breakfast. The space Carousel Bed and Breakfast is decorated in tasteful antiques and reproductions from our onsite store Ruff Acres Antiques. The Heron View Room has a large luxurious bathroom with a two person Jacuzzi garden tub. The room is easily accessible with no steps and parking right outside the door. This room also boasts a stand up shower with just a short step to enter. This room includes a sitting area with a futon that can be pulled out to allow for 4 people to stay. Along with that there is also a little dining area with table and chairs. To enhance the ambiance of the rooms we've incorporated backlit stained glass windows and each room has a gas fireplace. We also provide WIFI, televisions, microwaves, and refrigerators in each room. Available upon request are irons, hair dryers and ice. The room has a fantastic Mid Century modern bedroom suite made by the famous Stickley Brothers Company. The suite includes a King Size four poster bed with a low boy dresser and mirror, tall boy dresser and two nightstands. There is a history that goes with the set, be sure to ask Tim about it at breakfast. There is a 1200 square foot area in the back of the antique shop that is available for hosting all types of parties, we have hosted wedding and baby showers as well as teas for smaller groups and bigger groups as our local antique study group or even groups like the Daughters of the American Revolution! Please message me if you May be interested. Guest access In order to keep prices lower for our Airbnb guests prices quoted do not include breakfast. We would love to serve you breakfast. It is served on antique china (Nippon Azalea Pattern made circa 1902) and juice and fruit are served in Pink Depression glass (Poppy Pattern, circa 1930). We take pride in our breakfast and we make sure no one goes away hungry. Breakfasts starts with Juice and Coffee, a homemade jumbo muffin (at times made from fruits grown in the orchard on the farm), often applesauce (also homemade from our orchard) or another fruit, usually a carb of some type, pancakes, waffles, French toast (a guest favorite) a protein such as bacon, sausage or ham. We give generous portions and seconds are usually available. We charge $20 for a single person or $30 for a couple. If you have extra guests in a room they will be charged an additional $15 per person. Please add this to the amount you are paying so that we know to prepare breakfast for you. We do prepare breakfasts for our guests that may have special diets, please let us know about these in advance so we can be sure to have appropriate meals available for you. Guests can explore the Antique store at their leisure. Attached to the rooms is a foyer with a Kuerig and complimentary K-cups. On the property there's two ponds benches have been set up by the first one so you can enjoy the view, read a book or whatever else you can dream up. Breakfast is served in the dining room of the main house, which is as tastefully decorated as the rooms. Anyone is invited to stop by the living room and spend time with Tim, the owner. There is a wonderful collection of antique porcelain and art glass on display there. The room is decorated with many unusual antique pieces and the ceiling has a hand painted scene. Check it out! The location is ideal for summer and winter activities with miles of snowmobile trails, hiking trails, kayaking, canoeing and much more in Chautauqua County New York or the Allegheny Forest. There are also trails for cross country skiing or snowshoeing. Carousel is also located between Peak n Peak and Holiday Valley, two popular New York ski resorts. Come home with your favorite partner and enjoy the fire in your fireplace and discuss your great day! During your stay Hosts live on the property and are available for any questions comments or concerns. Hosts will also be cooking and serving breakfast. Off of the foyer before entering the kitchen area, there is a deck with tables and chairs. You are welcome to use this area for relaxation, occasionally it is used for breakfast. We encourage you to take time from your busy schedule to visit in the living room. Tim is always willing to discuss antiques or just visit with you. Other things to note Pets are welcome. There is ample space for them to stretch on the 10 acres but we do encourage you to keep them on a lead. Because of the additional cleaning needs when pets do stay we do charge an additional pet fee of $25. Rooms are non-smoking but we provide an outside ashtray and room to sit. There are two driveways entering the property. The first is just over the top of a hill and can be easily missed, the second is just another 500 feet up the road, please be aware. this second driveway may not be plowed during the winter.
