Woodland Farms Country Home

Located 2 miles from the famous Kittery Trading Post and 5 miles from downtown Portsmouth, our Woodland Farms estate is the perfect location for traveling families or guests who want to experience the Maine way of life. We are kid and pet friendly and you will find our space to be a comfortable and welcoming environment. This is the ideal location for guests looking to be close to local attractions but want to come home to quiet nights in the country. We look forward to having you! The space We are a duplex. Owner occupied on one half and a 1,000 square foot apartment on the other half for your enjoyment. The bedrooms are up stairs with a queen size bed, 2 twins in one room, a queen size bed in second room and a queen size bed in another smaller room. The bathroom is on the main level. Full kitchen with essentials for creating meals at home. Blender, mixer, pots, and pans to name a few. Washer and dryer are located in the apartment. Gas grill is on the deck for your use. There is plenty of parking. The fenced in back yard will give you peace of mind for your children (human or furry) to play. Watch them from the kitchen or borrow one of our video monitors. There is a fire-pit in the back yard for your evening enjoyment. Rocking chairs on the front porch for your leisure time. *Please note that the town of Kittery has started issuing licenses for Airbnb's in the town. Our license # is ABNB-32. As a result, our ability to list bedrooms has been reduced to 2 and we are required to say we sleep no more than 4 adults. Sorry if this is confusing because we have another sleeping area if you want to spread out but we cannot call that a bedroom anymore and the only other category on Airbnb to explain it is an office with a queen bed. Also one of our bedrooms is width of the house which runs from the front to the back of the house and has a queen and 2 twin beds in it. Our total bed count remains 3 queens and 2 twins for sleeping. Guest access In the winter you can cross country ski out the backyard. Blaze your own trails in the conservation land fields. There are no groomed trails. (Dogs are not allowed to be on the conservation land) You can walk through the summer gardens that are being created. Visit the cows in the barn! Please make sure you wash your hands after petting the cows or letting the cows lick your hands. Thanks Other things to note We require a Friday night and Saturday night stay in the summer. If you want to check in on Thursday, you can if you check out on Sunday. We recycle and compost. There are heifers on the property but they belong to the Johnson Dairy Farm next door. A heifer is a female bovine that has NOT had a calf, thus it is not a cow.
