Also close to Bellevue, Seattle, and skiing at Snoqualmie Summit, shopping, live theater, and restaurants. Well stocked kitchen, roomy living rooms! ADA Accessible in lower levels. Lastly, if the guests wish to use the hot tub an additional $100 will be charged for cleaning costs. Please let us know beforehand at booking. The space This house offers the best of both worlds: literally minutes from charming Olde Town Issaquah, the freeway and the conveniences of urban life, yet tucked against a mountainside and surrounded by a canopy of trees (and fresh air!). HOUSE This 3,300 sq ft house is unique with 3 custom built master suits, all including neo-angled tubs with waterfall faucets and spa-like atmospheres. Each space was artistically designed and you might have a hard time choosing between them! ***An update to the pictures includes a large flat screen TV in place of the piano in the main living area downstairs, as well as a larger table upstairs. You'll find special pieces throughout, including up-cycled remodels, high-end kitchen updates and antique built-ins from local lakefront mansions. From the floor plan to the lighting and decor, we hope you find this space cozy and inviting. AMENITIES Booked as the whole house (through this listing), you'll have 2 full kitchens, 2 flat screen TVs, 2 living rooms for gathering and relaxing, and 2 washer/dryer sets. Multiple master suites means everyone can relax in their own private space. This is ideal for large groups or families! Enjoy cooking in our updated kitchen upstairs. Having the appliances (two ovens upstairs and one down), knives, serving bowls, and some spices in the pantry will make your stay easy and comfortable. House in the Woods has in-floor geothermal radiant heating and cooling system and distilled water straight from the pigot at the kitchen sinks and several bathroom sinks. Off the upstairs kitchen is a large deck with a grill and bench seating for summer guests. In the lower level, you'll find up-cycled finishes, exposed beams, and interior brick accent walls. SLEEPING The upstairs master has a king bed and walk in closet. In addition to queen/double beds, the downstairs masters have charming twin bed nooks and soothing dimmable lights throughout. The other lower level room is a "den" with double bed (no attached bath or closet). It has glass French doors on two walls with stained glass accents. ADA ACCESSIBLE The lower unit is ADA accessible: - paved parking is level with front door - wide hallways and doors - roll-in shower - seats in showers NOISE The home is nestled in the trees along Hwy 900, a high traffic road between Issaquah and Renton. Expect to hear cars and trucks pass by day and night from inside, but also enjoy the sights and sounds of mother nature all around you. See photos for proximity to the street. LOCATION Being on Hwy 900 means you won't spend extra time driving through neighborhoods or city streets to get to your destination. From the house, zip right onto this scenic road and hit the freeway, town or trailheads within minutes. Note that commute hours in the morning and late afternoon create heavy traffic on this road, I-90, and main roads in Issaquah, so plan accordingly. Outdoor enthusiasts will find two ski resorts less than an hour away, as well as boating/swimming, miles of cycling, running, fishing, downhill biking, destination hiking and even paragliding just down the road. Water toys and boats can be parked in the open space to the right of the house. Issaquah has a charming shopping area called Gilman Village as well as restaurants, live theater and local shops along Front Street. BOOKING ALTERNATIVES It was remodeled to be booked as one large house, OR as two separate and private units on each level. Fastest way to find them is an Internet search for: "House in the Woods (upper unit) Issaquah" "House in the Woods (lower unit) Issaquah" If you're sensitive to road noise, note that the upper unit's wall-to-wall windows and open floor plan do make it easier to hear the cars/trucks. Although you still hear traffic in the lower unit, it is quieter. Contact me if you'd like to add more people than is allowed. (We recently purchased this home from friends who also hosted House in the Woods on Airbnb. If you've stayed here before, you'll notice that the furnishings and vibe are exactly the same!) Other things to note Near the container area there is a trailer and RV. Please stay away from this area for they are our friendly neighbors. Please be considerate and leave the driveway accessible for them. From time to time they will pass by but not interfere with your stay at all.
