We welcome you to join us! The Stone Lodge was brought back to its original ambiance in 2010 years ago, when the Monroe family made it a place where others could enjoy the beauty, sights and sounds of nature from a beautiful authentic Adirondack retreat. The Lodge is nestled in the Adirondacks on Blythewood Island on Loon Lake in Chestertown, NY. Surrounded by views of the lake in three directions, during your stay you will have private access to a privately-owned family 150' sandy beach within an easy walk for children. It's a beautiful location, with opportunities to swim, fish, hike, golf, bike, canoe, ski, water ski, snowmobile, shop, dine or simply relax in the Adirondack Chairs witnessing a bald eagle flying from its nest across our cove and the sights and sounds of loons with their chicks riding on their backs. So many incredible wonders of nature surround you as you enjoy a warm fire side chat on the beach or in the living room. Old fashioned games wait for families to enjoy their time together. The Stone Lodge offers rustic, comfortable furnishings for up to ten people which make the lodge feel warm & inviting. It features four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, a fully equipped kitchen, and a washer and dryer, making this accommodation the perfect get away for friends and family. The heart of the home is the front porch looking out to the lake - with it’s massive timber columns, original stone walls, and classic rocking chairs, it is the ultimate spot to relax and take in the fresh mountain air. You will enjoy the old fashioned, rustic yet elegant personality of the Stone Lodge. It is a must see and visit. Many of our guests return year after year, some for more than ten years. There is plenty of parking for up to 6 cars. Help yourself to the BBQ grill - propane will be provided. Enjoy a fire in the fire pit - wood will be provided. As a guest at The Stone Lodge we ask that you practice the proper procedures to prevent the introduction of aquatic invasive species into our lake. You must follow the clean, drain and dry protocol for all watercraft, regardless of the size, and for all fishing gear. Your cooperation and help will ensure that Loon Lake stays clean and healthy for future generations and visitors to enjoy. Please protect Loon Lake. Our town provides a free boat wash station for all to use. We also ask that you follow the NYS DEC regulations regarding transporting firewood. Thanks for your help!
