Our house is located in Old Ottawa East, situated between the Rideau Canal and Ottawa River. Downtown Ottawa is only a 20 minute easy walk. Our cozy basement studio is accessed through a separate side entrance and features a kitchenette, private bathroom with shower and access to a shared laundry facility. The studio is fully furnished, bright and quiet. It is very private and is fitted with with a security system. The entry lock is electronic. There is a lock on the studio door. It is conveniently located close to Saint Paul University, the famous Green Door restaurant, Rideau Canal, with easy access to Carleton University, Ottawa University and shopping in the Glebe. Bus line #5 stop is nearby. This is a professional family home with two friendly dachshunds. Our guests have access to our shared laundry facility. The Studio has a separate entrance from the side of our house. We access the basement on weekends to do the laundry and occasionally throughout the week to get items from the pantry. The worlds longest skating rink, a UNESCO heritage site, the Rideau Canal, is only a 5 minute walk. The General Hospital and CHEO on Smyth, are a 5 minute drive. Our neighborhood is very pedestrian and green. The nearby Brentwood park features open air tennis courts. Our street has recently undergone a major renovation and now features beautiful, safe bike lanes. Bus line #5 is just down the street and the LRT station on Lees Avenue is a 20 minute walk. There is ample street parking in the neighborhood and weekend parking is without restrictions. Access to the studio is from the side of our house, from our heated driveway. There is no snow shoveling required.
