Pend Oreille River Lodge The space The beauty of this elaborate home in Laclede enhances the views of the Pend Oreille River. Everything from the exquisite woodwork throughout the house to the granite kitchen countertops to the cozy, radiant-heated floors will elevate your Sandpoint vacation. This home has room to cook big meals after days at the beach, while the comfortable loft is the perfect place to wake up with sunlight pouring through the large windows. There is also a separate guesthouse with three bedrooms, one bathroom, a second full kitchen, and a fun-filled game room in the garage with a dartboard and foosball, making it perfect for larger families. Outdoors, you'll also find a six-person hot tub and a firepit for those cool summer nights. This home is on the Pend Oreille River, which boasts beautiful wildlife views and plenty of family fun at Riley Creek Recreation Area. The Willow Bay Marina has a beach, a fantastic restaurant, and gas available for boats, and it is located directly across the river from this home. After Dover, the Marina is the only restaurant and stop for gas on the entire 36-mile stretch of the river. A 15-mile drive will take you to Sandpoint, where you can enjoy beautiful lake beaches and all the local shops and restaurants this city offers. Schweitzer Moutain Resort is less than 30 miles away and offers world-class skiing and snowboarding. THINGS TO KNOW Guest access Your keys are in the lockbox mounted on the main guest house and shop door frame. The top lockbox contains the keys you'll need to enter the home and guest house. Once inside, you have the run of both the main house and the separate guest shop on the property. Other things to note The home features a propane fire pit on the main deck - instructions are printed on the side of the unit. There's also a wood-burning firepit down on the lower dock patio with a pile of firewood and matches available in the kitchen drawer opposite the fridge (in summer, the indoor fireplaces are not set up for use). The Traeger grill and propane BBQ are both available for cooking. A manual for the Traeger is provided in the home. The hot tub is ready to use with a digital temperature control if you'd like to adjust the heat. Simply flip the front half of the cover and slide both halves to the back of the rack and down to the side. The property has no air conditioning, but you'll find natural ventilation throughout and ceiling fans in every room. The house has double insulation that keeps it cool in summer and warm in winter. There's an additional icemaker in the basement and a second refrigerator in the shop guest room for extra storage.
