Welcome to the quiet Temescal Jewelbox! Recently renovated, our backyard apartment is a home away from home in one of Oakland’s most vibrant centrally located neighborhoods. We love Temescal! Fully equipped new kitchen, a light filled living area with our prize 1957 Metz music cabinet, restored and Bluetooth compatible - stream your play lists from the dedicated WiFi. Settle in to the upstairs bedroom with a cozy reading nook, desk space, a “walk-up” closet, en-suite small bathroom with shower. The space We live in the front house, a typical 1920’s bungalow, the Jewelbox Apartment is all yours. The apartment is attached, but has its own private entrance through the back gate and shares only an external wall. It is super quiet. Our sunny back yard is available for your use. The Jewelbox’s private entrance opens right onto it. Guest access You enter through our secured back gate to the Jewelbox’s ground floor private entrance. You will also have a dedicated parking spot in our driveway for your stay. Bikes - we could arrange inside storage for a bike or two if you bring your own. We are happy to allow guest access to our laundry room, right off our back stairs. Easy and private. We ask that you do not use dryer sheets or fabric softeners because of allergies. Other things to note The bedroom and bathroom are up a full flight of stairs above the living area and kitchen. Two people traveling together should be comfortable sharing a queen size bed. The sofa is love seat size and not big enough to sleep on. Namaste - yoga mat, a foam roller, and a zafu in the unit. You are welcome to enjoy our backyard although it is a shared space with us. There is some great seating, dining table and chairs, and a charcoal bbq in the back available for your use.
