There is an interconnecting door between the two spaces. I actually grew up in England and although we live about an hour away in rush-hour, we love having this Downtown 'City Loft', as an escape for our family of 5, especially when school's out or on the weekends. It looks and feels great over the holidays, when it's too cold out in the woods to have a family day! So instead, we take the kids to City Museum or to a show at the Fox. It's also good over the summer on a Friday/Saturday evening after a baseball or hockey game (make sure you crank up the AC before you go to that game, so it's comfortable when you get "home"). We love this place and we're pretty sure you'll love it too. A bit of thought certainly did go into the design and feel. A place to be together with your group, for mindfulness and relaxation. For fun and togetherness. 1 King + 2 full sofa-sleepers in the Bedroom 1 1 queen in Bedroom 2 1 queen in Bedroom 3 Book with the confidence that your stay will be even better than multiple hotel rooms, both in terms of price and quality. Your large group will thank you for finding this listing. If we're more expensive than the other places you're looking at, it's simply because we're better. We know what we're doing and we know how to look after our guests, as our reviews show. We are acutely aware that too many hosts are not familiar with the concept of 'guest service'. We are proud to report that we have many return groups for all our various listings. We're always looking for ways to improve, so we need your feedback. If you're new to Airbnb, this booking will make you a fan. Rest assured that we will make your stay as comfortable as we would want it if we were the guests! The space is designed with a 'Downton Abbey' theme, complete with all associated old English styles and furnishings! It is chiefly designed for adults. If however, you are booking for a group of kids, we do require at least one adult staying as well (often a coach or teacher), aged 21 or over. We do not (and legally cannot) supply alcohol but you can certainly bring your own if you're a group of 21+ people - just don't let it get out of hand please! There is a grocery store on the very same block (Schnucks) in order for you to stock the dry bar and the refrigerator! 'DowntoWn Abbey' is designed for folks who want to have all the luxuries of a penthouse suite in a hotel room, but with 1 or 2 other couples occupying the same space, at a fraction of the hotel rates, while living out their fascination with early 20th century England. It's ideal for a group of friends who'd rather not spend $200/night each on a cramped hotel room, and who'd rather hang out together in one fun space, rather than have to always go out to expensive restaurants and bars. There is an open kitchen, and you can stock it by going to the grocery store (Culinaria) across the street (literally 50 yards away). This is a spacious place with many things to do including: • LED Smart TV (with Roku) in each of the 3 bedrooms • High Speed Internet • Refrigerator with front water and ice-dispenser • Microwave • Regular range with oven • Coffeepot, Toaster There is an adjacent space/team-house on the same floor, known as The DUGOUT, that can be booked separately. Pop over to the Schnucks grocery store (on the same block as DowntoWn Abbey) and make yourself a gourmet meal in the fully equipped kitchen. Let us know in advance if you need a Pack'N'Play for a small child, and we'll make it happen. It is also great for hanging out with friends while practicing social distancing and being safe for one another. Always remember to be safe. Negatives from previous guests: Sometimes the nextdoor neighbor (in The DUGOUT) can be noisy, but this is rare. PLEASE NOTE: THIS SPACE IS NOT FOR PARTYING. THESE SPACES ARE NOT FOR LOUD PARTIES. A $1,000 LOUD NOISE ORDNANCE WILL BE IMPOSED IF IT'S NOISY OR THERE ARE COMPLAINTS FROM NEIGHBORS AFTER 11PM. WE ARE REGULARLY VISITED (ESPECIALLY ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY LATE NIGHTS) BY THE LOCAL POLICE, SO WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE ARE NEVER SEEN AS 'PROBLEM PROPERTY'. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE SURE OF THIS. THANK YOU.
