Granite kitchen counters and sea glass tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms. A striking glass fireplace in the living room sets the theme for an inviting time at the beach. The home features vaulted ceilings in the living room/dining room and kitchen, with ample recessed and under-cabinet lighting as well as a kitchen skylight. There is wood flooring throughout the house, natural maple cabinetry with a large pantry, a large kitchen island with seating for two, high-end stainless steel appliances, two large flat screen LCD HDTVs, FIOS fiber optic cable internet (WiFi), Direct TV satellite service, DVD players, a stereo entertainment system, overhead ceiling fans in every room, and air conditioning units in each bedroom and in the living room/dining room area. In addition, there are plush mattresses, luxurious bed linens and towels, a fully equipped kitchen, and a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer right off the kitchen. The living room/dining room area is suffused with natural light from three large picture windows. There is a sectional sofa that seats 5 to 6, a bamboo sofa that seats 3, and a large easy chair. The dining room has a solid maple gate-leg table that is kept folded to seat 4, but can be expanded with the use of a leaf to accommodate up to 10. The living room/dining room area also has a bamboo game table that seats 4. The spacious master bedroom features a plush king-sized mattress on a Henredon natural oak platform bed. There is a spacious walk-in closet in this room, a 40-inch LCD HDTV, and sliding glass doors opening onto the rear deck. The master bath has a vanity with Corian countertop and sink and a large walk-in glass enclosed shower, tiled with sea glass accents and with a Kohler brushed nickel rain shower head. There are three additional spacious bedrooms that provide sleeping for 6 with plush mattresses and linens. One bedroom has a queen-size bed with a tall maple dresser and night stand. The two remaining bedrooms each have two twin beds. One room has extra long twins. Each room also has a solid maple dresser and night stand and a large closet. The main bathroom features a porcelain tub with a sliding glass door, Kohler brushed nickel fixtures, sand colored wall tiles accented with opalescent glass, and a vanity with a Corian sink and countertop. There is a spacious outdoor shower and changing room on the rear deck. The house has a large wrap around deck from the front of the house around the south side around the back making full access easy via bicycle, wheelchair, or stroller as there are no stairs. The deck has a striking contemporary teak and glass picnic table with seating for 6, two 10-foot market umbrellas, 2 chaise lounges and 2 mesh chairs with matching tables, a separate picnic table for small children, and a Weber gas grill. There are two wooden wagons to to transport your belongings to and from the ferry and beach, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, plenty of beach towels, and 4 beach cruiser bikes to enhance your enjoyment of all the natural wonders that Fire Island has to offer. There is also an open front porch, protected by an overhang, with two comfortable chairs and a table to enjoy your morning coffee, an afternoon drink, or to read the daily paper. Central air and heat are being added for the 2019 summer season. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire premises except for the attic. Other things to note Owing to community rules, the house cannot be rented to large groups of unrelated adults. As a guest in our home, you have full access to the lifeguarded swimming areas on the beachfront in Seaview, as well as privileges in the community's bay side pool, playground, and basketball court. Free swimming lessons are available. Tennis on the community's courts can be reserved for an additional fee. The Town of Ocean Beach, with many fine restaurants, bars, and shops, is a five-minute walk from our home. The ferry terminal and Seaview Market and Liquor Store are a block away. The beach and bay are one and one half blocks from our home. A 3 percent Suffolk County Hotel and Motel Occupancy Tax will be collected at the time of check in.
