The house is a dedicated rental property. Therefore you will not find clothes or personal belongings from the owner inside the house. Summer Season Rentals are by the week Saturday to Saturday. At the beach House, you have a choice of renting one or two fully furnished units. Each unit will comfortably accommodate up to 10 people and has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, fully equipped kitchen, dining room and Sunroom. After you have arrived and settled in, you will no doubt take the short 200 yard walk to the private beach to witness not only the expansive shoreline and incredible body of water but also one of the most impressive sunsets found anywhere on the planet. It is the main attraction of this vacation destination. And on a day when you need a break from the sun and the waves, you can still enjoy a refreshing swim in a heated pool or pedal a bike along the miles of trails that meander through the neighboring towns, forests, farmlands and wine country. With outdoor patios in the front garden, and back yard, you also have ample seating around the pool for sunbathing or having lunch. At meal time, you have many options to explore. In addition to grilling on the Weber, you will discover the areas many first rate restaurants, a famous burger joint, ice cream shops and cafes. We have coded door locks. We give the guest the code with house information about 5 days prior to arrival. Most interaction is done via email. This includes reservation acknowledgement, Rental Agreement, Arrival Instructions and Information specific to the house and area. We are in an area that consists primarily of single family homes used primarily as 2nd homes during the summer and weekends in the spring summer and fall. There are a few duplex homes like ours in the area. Very few homes have a pool and hot tub like we do. We are about 5 miles from the Amtrak station in New Buffalo and just a few miles from Interstate I-94 and Union Pier, Michigan Exit 6. Exist 6 is 6 miles from the Michigan/Indiana border. We are about a 90 minute drive to downtown Chicago. Guests are allowed to use the outdoor pool between Memorial Day and mid September or use of the hot tub between mid September and Memorial Day. June through August is the Prime rental season. Since guests will only be able to reserve both cottages during this time, Guests will have exclusive use of the entire property including the pool, outdoor patios, parking area and all the rooms inside each cottage. Very detailed information will be provided about the property, beach access and activities in the area. Guests can also feel free to call or email with questions. The neighborhood consists mainly of weekend use homeowners. In addition there are some homeowners who make their property available for rent and a few full time residents. All homeowners keep a watchful eye on the conduct of one another. We have easy access to I-94 and are about 5 miles from downtown New Buffalo with many restaurants and shops. Renters reserving the property must be a minimum 25 years old. Pets are an additional $10/pet/night All guests are expected to acknowledge the owners rental agreement.
