It is a short walk to the University, or downtown Arcata to local shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and the Community Forest. Our studio is newly redone with white carpets in the living area, oriental rugs, a fully equipped kitchen with lots of counter space. There is comfortable queen-sized bed with Egyptian Cotton sheets and down comforter. Arcata is a small university town located between Humboldt Bay and the Arcata Redwood Forest. The spectacular rocky seacoasts, beaches, and forests of Redwood National Park are just to the north. The beautiful clear rivers of the Six Rivers National Forest are both north and south. Redwood forests, concerts, restaurants, and movies are all a pleasant walk away. The university brings major entertainment acts for reasonable prices and no parking problems, from Ray Charles to the Tokyo String Quartet. Arcata has many community events, from the Oyster Festival, to bird watching gatherings, and a lively Saturday Farmer's Market. The Marsh Ponds are world famous for bird watching, and the Community Forest has miles of wild and remote hiking trails. Other things to note You have to walk back a gravel to get to the place.
