Creekside guests will only share the large deck, heated pool, summer kitchen and fenced yard with those in your party. For safety concerns we do not host children under 12yrs due to the proximity of the pool to the entry door. Creekside has 2 bdrm 1 bth w/palm tree lined fenced-in yard, pool and summer kitchen in resort setting provide a relaxing atmosphere for romantic getaway, family vacation or just chill-laxing. The beaches of Sanibel Island and Ft. Myers Beach are a short drive away. Creekside Cottage is a quaint comfortable home conveniently located in a quite neighborhood with easy quick access to pristine beaches, MLB spring training and other outdoor activities. Creekside is located on historic Hendry Creek that flows into Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. For the birdwatchers Creekside is located in the flight path for wading birds that nest in neighboring Lakes Park. Nearly very evening just prior to sundown Egret’s, Ibis’s, Heron’s and Anhinga’s all overfly the pool sky on their way to evening roost. Bald Eagles and Osprey are local residents that fish the local waters of Hendry Creek and the Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve. Relaxing in the pool with a cool beverage is the only way to unwind and enjoy the evening fly-over. The Creekside and her sister Cypress Cottage are two of the original Cottages built in the 1950's that made up the popular Pink Shell Resort on Ft. Myers Beach now known as Pink Shell Beach Resort and Spa. In the late 70’s the resort expanded and needed space and rather than destroy the tiny cottages the owners offered them free of charge to anyone willing to bear the cost of relocation. In 1979 Flint & Dole moved these two Cottages to their present location. According to the Estero Island Historic Society the Cottages were constructed with local “Island Mahogany”. Current owners purchased the property in December 2013 and began remodeling Creekside in 2014. After the renovations to Creekside were complete the process of converting the other into Cypress Cottage began. Our guests will enjoy their own private Cottage and full private access to the pool, deck, patio, summer kitchen, back yard, dock. We live in separate Cottage on property. Owners are available for assistance or interaction with guests. We are both Native Floridians that grew up in Ft. Myers. We can provide directions, recommendations and first-hand knowledge and history from many years of experince living in the area. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions anytime.
