Seahorse Cottage - a semi-oceanfront, classic (older) beach cottage duplex located in South Nags Head less than 50 yards over the dune line. Enjoy a less than 1/2 mile walk to Fish Head's pier or just over a mile to Jennette's Pier - and a 2-minute walk to the beach over a private community beach access just steps from your door. THIS LISTING IS THE DOWNSTAIRS APARTMENT ONLY - a VERY BASIC 1 Bedroom and 1 full bath with a shower. Only one car can be accommodated for parking The space THIS LISTING IS FOR THE DOWNSTAIRS, GROUND-FLOOR APARTMENT ONLY. The apartment is a very basic, older unit with window a/c and baseboard heat. Great location- smell and hear the ocean just over the dune. We are gradually updating but the apartment is an OLDER unit that was previously just reserved for family. This is a classic, older construction South Nags Head beach cottage with two separate units - upstairs three bedrooms, 1.5 baths and downstairs one bedroom, one bath - both with full kitchens and living areas. THIS IS DOWNSTAIRS ONLY. It Is a basic but comfortable older style unit. It is one bedroom and one bathroom. Kitchen is basic and has no dishwasher. There is a small weber grill (you supply charcoal) just for the downstairs unit. (Not pictured.) The unit has baseboard heat and a window-style a/c setup. - nothing fancy! It also has a dehumidifier that you may have to empty if full. We thank you in advance for your assistance with this. Please note that the wood paneling and the age and proximity to the ocean can have a unique "cottage" smell. We do run a dehumidifier which you may have to empty during your stay. We assume you read this note before booking. Thank you! Please note that the downstairs unit only allows 1 car. The small parking area is shared with the upstairs unit that is allotted 2 cars. Parking is not marked. You must share and be courteous with your upstairs neighbors Guest access This listing is downstairs ONLY. The outdoor shower and separate laundry room are shared with the upstairs unit. There is a small Weber style "Smokey Joe" grill for this unit and a small patio with chairs just outside your entrance. This unit only has parking for 1 car. No on-street parking. No parking in front of other houses. We have a camera to monitor parking. Other things to note 2 adults maximum. Please message us beforehand if you are a family bringing children (2 maximum). No additional bedding will be provided, but there is space for you to bring your own air mattress(es). This unit has parking on-site for 1 car maximum. We supply the first roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and a roll of paper towels. Guests are responsible for needs after that. We supply two bath towels, two hand towels and two washcloths per stay. Guests are responsible for bro going their own beach towels. You may have to clean the grill if the last guests did not clean it as is courtesy. Our cleaners do NOT clean the grills. Charcoal is NOT an amenity we provide, but many guests leave some behind as a "pay it forward" gesture, so you may find some but you are responsible for your charcoal needs.
