We offer the Prairie Lea Carriage House just 150 days out of the year to maintain our Texas Homestead exemption - so book now! No pets allowed. The space Relax in the open and comfortable, converted Carriage House. The ship lap walls and high ceilings open to beautifully exposed architectural beams. Listen to your music in the Carriage House with Bose Speakers while cooking in our gourmet kitchen. Or sit on the back deck and soak up the multiple songs of the various cardinals, wrens, starlings, dove, and jays. Our garden offers well-tended raised beds full of each season’s flowers, veggies, and fruit. The PLCH garden is one of the most beautiful and peaceful gardens in Lockhart. Fix yourselves a cool cocktail and relax under the majestic and massive oak trees believed to be well-over 300 years old. And when the day is done, retire to your king-sized bed and Royalpedic Organic mattress for a restful night sleep. We didn't skimp on comfort. The beauty is that you have peace and quiet just 3 blocks from all that's happening in the Square. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy the Carriage House back deck and generous garden. The Big House, its garden, and its patio are private and not open to our guests. Other things to note 1. ***Please note that the carriage house is part of our Homesteaded property in accordance with Chapter 11 of the Texas Property Tax Code. In order to maintain our Homestead rights under Section 11.13 (k) we only offer the carriage house for rental for a maximum of 150 days of the calendar year. Once the 150th day is booked on the site, there will be no opportunity to book any other days for that calendar year.*** 2. No pets allowed.
