Mountain View Chalet - Divide Views

Our Chalet is a cozy cabin for two or a close-knit family of four. We are located 15 min. from Nederland and boast amazing views of the Continental Divide, have ample summer wildflowers, a gourmet kitchen, full bath and wood stove. Cannabis friendly. A 4WD or AWD vehicle is required during the winter (generally mid-October to mid-May). The space The Mountain View Chalet has amazing Continental Divide Views, Privacy and hiking or snowshoeing right from our door. This cozy, romantic cabin for two or a close-knit family of four lies at 9,000 ft in elevation and boasts amazing views of the Continental Divide, ample summer wildflowers, a gourmet kitchen, full bath, and wood and propane heat. The handcrafted interior of the cabin contains hardwood and travertine floors, natural aspen trim and railings, knotty cherry kitchen cabinets, stone countertops, and porcelain tile. Finally, the Chalet is partially off-grid and has some solar electricity with battery backup. We also have high speed wireless internet (5 mbps) and a TV with a DVD player. Mountain View Chalet is located on 20 acres of private land and surrounded by national forest. No neighboring houses are visible from the Chalet. Nearby towns include Rollinsville, about two miles away, and Nederland, about six miles away, and Blackhawk & Central City, about 14 miles away. In addition we are 40 minutes from Boulder, about 1 hour from Denver and 45 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. You can enjoy beautiful walks in the pine forest right from the door step, or take a short drive to the James Peak and Indian Peaks Wilderness Areas to hike to alpine tundra, glacier fed lakes, and beautiful waterfalls. In winter, enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing right from the door or drive 15 minutes to Eldora Ski Resort for downhill skiing and snowboarding. The Chalet is a perfect place to relax in the peaceful solitude of the Rocky Mountains, escape the summer heat, or enjoy the winter snows. NOTE: AWD or 4WD REQURED IN WINTER (anywhere from mid-October to late-May) !! Pets: We do accept well-behaved pets and charge an extra $40 minimum. Please let us know if you plan on bringing any, so we can tell you of our house rules and arrange for extra payment. Thanks! Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home plus the 20 acres of land. In addition, there is a lot of adjoining National Forest lands. Other things to note IMPORTANT: The cabin is only accessible via Lump Gulch Road to Bobcat Trail. If you take Bobcat Trail directly off of Hwy 119, you will trespass over our neighbor's property and not be able to get to the cabin. Please read the directions in the reservation details.
