Description
Stroll to Seattle’s most iconic sites. Walk to the Convention Center, Amazon HQ, or Microsoft’s Seattle offices. Piet’s Perch is the perfect place to call home for a few days. Recharge in cheerful, modern surroundings then head out again for nearby shopping, dining, music & more! If Piet’s Perch is unavailable (or the two flights of stairs are a little daunting), click on our host profile and discover the Jewel Box or Swallow’s Rest, on the first and second floors. The space We think of this 400-foot, third-floor studio as “Piet’s Perch", after the painter Piet Mondrian. It’s a light-filled space that faces a courtyard, shielding you from city noise. Truly, Piet’s is the perfect place to relax – whether you’ve spent the day exploring the Emerald City or innovating in the nearby high-tech corridor. Weather in Seattle is generally mild – it’s rare for summer temperatures to climb above the low 80s and the humidity will be low. For your comfort, AC is available between May and October. Designed like a hotel suite, Piet’s Perch has a comfortable, pillow-top queen bed, good lighting, and an ample closet for unpacking and stowing your luggage. There’s a comfortable seating area and an HD TV loaded with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and more. The coffee table raises to seating height, creating an excellent place for working (there’s high-speed wi-fi) or dining. The kitchen is fully equipped to whip up simple meals using ingredients from the nearby Whole Foods or the Pike Place Market. There’s also a European combined washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, full-sized fridge, toaster, French press, and more. The bath has all the essentials – towels, toiletries, and a hairdryer. And there’s a full-sized mirror to ensure you look your best. Guest access Piet’s Perch is in a charming building built in 1922. From the sidewalk, there are eight marble stairs to the lobby, then two flights of stairs to the third floor. The building is secure, requiring a code to enter, and the condo is equipped with a smart lock. Guests will receive the front door code and a unique smart lock code 3-days before arrival. The on-site guest book is filled with our favorite restaurant recommendations, local insights on things to do, where to find services, and the closest gym, hair salon, and grocery store. Other things to note With a Walk Score of 99, you don’t need a car to explore Seattle when you stay at Piet’s Perch. Although there’s a parking garage half a block away, we recommend taking the Link light rail to the Westlake station (35 minutes/$3) and walking the 4 blocks to the condo. You can also grab a taxi or a ride-share service. If your holiday plans include exploring Washington State, there are several rental car agencies within walking distance, making it easy to pick up a car when you need it.
