4 Season Family Home Cottage on Belmont Lake

Come visit our Lake House on beautiful Belmont Lake. Only 2.5 hours from Toronto! This well-kept 5 bedroom, 4 season home boasts room to entertain a crowd: large sunken livingroom overlooking the lake, open kitchen with breakfast bar, Wifi, A/C, Firepit. Primary bedroom with ensuite, and walkout to large waterside deck. Well stocked for all your needs. You could really fall in love with this place! Perfect for extended families, elderly guests, small children, and house trained dogs. The space Our 5 bedroom bungalow cottage includes all of the regular comforts of home - laundry, wifi, ensuite bathroom, year-round running and potable water, Central Air, forced air heating, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, electric stove, 2 x fridge/freezers for large crowds, and room to entertain a crowd. Our cottage is NOT available for parties of any kind. We have elderly neighbours, as well as those with young families, and sound travels easily across the water. Neighbours on one side are fairly close to the property. If you are looking for a place to party for the weekend, this is not the rental for you. Please no more than 8 adults and no more than 14 guests total (8 adults + children). We request that guests bring their own linens. Please note the bed sizes and let us know if you need any help providing the proper sheet sizes for the beds. The cottage is situated on a level lot with easy water access at the end of the dock. The waterfront is a gradual depth, increasing to about 5' at the end of the dock to a weed-free, sand-bottom lake. Belmont Lake is approximately 6km long by 1 km wide. It is great for fishing (lg/sm bass, pickeral, pike, muskie, crappie). The waterfront seating includes a professionally landscaped area with Muskoka chairs and a fire pit. Fire wood is provided, though we ask that you pay a small courtesy fee ($10) if you burn a large amount of wood. Enjoy our large library of movies to watch, books to read, and games to play. This is a family friendly place! Playpen, child booster, bed rail, and baby gate all available for use. Please plan to take your garbage and recycling with you. We will leave courtesy garbage tags for the local transfer station on the side of the fridge, if you'd like. The dump is located at 900 6th Line, Havelock (closed Wednesday and Thursday year round) - check website in the Guidebook for hours and details. Guest access The cottage and its surroundings are yours to enjoy and explore. You will not have access to the detached garage, or the closets in the primary bedroom but everything else is all yours! Feel free to use any staples that we've left out (tea, sugar, flour, etc). You may use the canoe, and the 2 kayaks. There are an assortment of life jackets available in the waterside shed, and paddles as well. Also water trampoline and floating dock (seasonal) Other things to note Please let us know if you are bringing your dog, and try to keep them off the furniture - much appreciated! Please - 8 adults max and no more than 14 guests (including children). The cottage is on a well and septic. While we regularly host large groups with no problems, it is important to conserve water so that the well does not run out. In particular, larger groups should keep in mind that the best way to conserve water is to limit toilet flushes by "letting it mellow", and reduce the number of showers, laundry loads and dishwasher cycles that take place at the same time of day. We are confident that you will have ample water during your stay if you are mindful of your use. Please take ALL of your waste with you. You are welcome to drop green waste, recycling and garbage at the local transfer station. You may also take it home with you. We will leave a couple courtesy dump tags for your convenience. You may purchase more tags at Foodland in Havelock, or at the dump ($2.50 per bag - credit or debit only).
