The Deer Pine Chalet is a newly built custom log home in the Adirondack Park. This winter wonderland getaway is just minutes away from Whiteface Mountain boasting 22 miles of ski and snowboard trails. Our neighborhood has 6 cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking trails with a combined 10 miles; all trails intersect with a trail entrance steps from the chalet! You can go ice skating, tobogganing or dog sledding in the historic town of Lake Placid just 21 miles away from the chalet. Set in the gorgeous Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York is our luxurious rustic themed log cabin: The Deer Pine Chalet; a newly built 4 bedroom and 3 ½ bathroom that sleeps 15. The cabin has lap top friendly work spaces, portable air conditioning units in the great room and dining room, one window air conditioning unit is in the master bedroom on main floor, one portable air conditioning unit is in the walkout basement great room, portable air conditioning in the patriotic bunk bed room, high speed wireless internet, Spectrum cable TV with movie channels and an automatic backup generator. We have 6 neighborhood trails with a combined total of 10 miles for cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and hiking. The trails give you the option to enjoy mountain views or even hike to the neighborhood lake for a picnic - you can also drive to the lake! All of the trails intersect with a trail entrance just a few steps away from the chalet The Deer Pine Chalet is located 12.3 miles from Whiteface Mountain, which hosted the Olympic Games twice and boasts 22 miles of trails including the 2.1 mile long Wilmington Trail. You can also enjoy fine cuisine, art, and shopping in the charming and historic town of Lake Placid just 21 miles away from the cabin. In summer time you can fish on the awesome Au Sable River a blue ribbon trout stream (close to our cabin). Canoe, kayak and paddle board on Mirror Lake in Lake Placid. Our luxurious log cabin features an open floor plan with large great room windows, a double sided gas fireplace, and a master bedroom on each floor. Throughout the house you will see beautiful custom handmade woodwork from the Adirondack Park. We have numerous sleeping options from king size beds, queen size beds, bunk beds with twin XL mattresses and comfortable pull out queen sofa bed. You get to enjoy the rustic and remote beauty of the area while also having numerous first-class amenities: a 7 person hot tub, 4 person sauna, pool table, bar, large 4K smart TV’s, grill, and much more! The upper floor master bedroom has a 58 inch 4K smart TV, king size bed, a large multi-jet double person shower, window ac unit and French doors that lead to a large, wrap around balcony. The balcony provides beautiful views, chairs, a table, and a screened in portion of the balcony has a couch, grill, rocking chairs and tv. We also have three thermostats to control the heat. Two on the upper floor and one in the walkout basement. The great room has a 75 inch smart 4K TV, portable ac unit. a telescope to see the stars, portable ac unit, a huge gourmet dream kitchen stocked with spices, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and many small appliances (crock pot, rice cooker, air fryer, toaster oven, four slice toaster, spiralizer, blender, mixer, coffee maker for large groups, Keurig individual coffee machine with assorted coffee pods, coffee grinder, waffle maker, electric skillet, food processor, and electric tea kettle to name a few) pantry, a portable ac unit in the dining room, custom handmade dining room table that seats 10-12, and the kitchen peninsula that seats 4. You will find the mud-room has everything needed to accommodate winter sports including boot dryers, ski rack, snowboard rack, shelving for helmets, washer, dryer, and a bench. The walkout basement features in floor heat, portable ac unit, a bar with a wine cooler, pool table, game table, desk area, 58 inch 4K smart TV, a library, board games, three bedrooms, and two leather couches, one of which is a comfortable queen size sleeper. You have the second master bedroom with a king size bed, 58 inch 4k smart TV and a large private master bathroom with a tub shower. There is also the guest bathroom with double sinks and a tub shower. The two additional bedrooms downstairs each have a 1 queen bed with a twin XL bed over it and twin XL bunk beds. The Deer Pine Chalet is stocked with towels, sheets, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, sponge, and garbage bags for your convenience. We take pride in saying that majority of our furniture and the numerous decorations throughout the cabin have been made in the USA. We hope you enjoy our home just as much as we do and treat it with respect. We are always available to our guests via text, phone or email. The neighborhood is in the protected Adirondack Park; you can expect to see deer and other wildlife as you drive in and out. There is also a lake with trail and road access that has a dock and a covered picnic area with tables and a charcoal grill. The neighborhood is on a mountain just above the quaint town of Jay. You will be asked to sign a rental agreement and provide picture ID once you book this property. RENTAL RULES 1. Check-in is 4 pm and Check-out is 10am. You may check in early or check out late for $50.00 per hour, provided we have the availability to approve such an arrangement. Such arrangement must be made in writing in advance. 2. Smoking is NOT allowed on property. 3. Noise: This is a quiet community. No excessive noise after 10:00 pm. 4. Maximum capacity of the house is 15 people. People other than those listed on lease may not visit (unless expressly agreed upon by owner in writing prior to booking) or stay overnight on the property. 5. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Do not move or damage furniture. 6. Only use appliances for their intended uses. Please do not alter any configuration of the wiring or settings in any of the entertainment centers. 7. Pets are NOT allowed. 8. Towels and Linens: Do not take bath towels or linens out of the house. Do not place wet towels on furniture. 9. Hot Tub and Sauna: a. No children under the age of 15 are permitted in the hot tub or sauna without adult supervision. b. No food or drinks allowed in the hot tub or sauna. c. When using the hot tub and or sauna, remember there is a certain health risk associated with these activities. Use at your own risk. Our caretaker adjusts chemicals levels in hot tub prior to your arrival. d. DO NOT STAND ON THE HOT TUB COVER. Hot tub cover is for insulation purposes and is not designed to support a person or persons. e. When not using the hot tub, leave cover on so hot tub will stay warm. All 4 clasps must be closed on the hot tub cover or it is likely to blow off. 10. Fireplace: a. Do not remove remote from area. b. Do not touch fireplace screen or attempt to open. 11. Portable Grill (on the deck): a. Do not leave the grill unattended while in use. b. Turn off the gas valve on the gas cylinder located under the grill and clean food preparation surface of grill after use. c. Put cover on grill once the grill has cooled off. (not when hot or warm). d. Do not move grill. 12. Septic: DO NOT FLUSH ANYTHING OTHER THAN TOILET PAPER. DO NOT POUR COOKING OIL AND OR GREASE DOWN THE DRAIN. 13. Parking: Only park in driveway. Do not drive or park on non-graveled land. Do not park in the street. 14. Pool Table. a. Do not sit or lean on pool table. b. Do not put food or drinks on pool table. c. Do not put anything on the pool table except for pool balls. 15. If it is attached to the wall do not touch, remove or rearrange. 16. Must be 25 years old to rent or be part of a family group. 17. No camping or use of an RV is allowed on the property. 18. No parties or events 19. Sports Equipment: Enter thru through the mudroom when you have sports equipment. For your convenience we have a ski rack, helmet shelf and boot dryer for your use. All sports equipment is to be kept in the mud room. Each entrance has a shoe brush for you to clean mud and snow off your shoes. Please treat our home as it was your home. 20. There are to be no open flames on property. 21. Move in/out procedures. Guest shall: a. Place all trash outside of the mudroom under the stairwell in the garbage cans. Please let us know if your garbage exceeds what the trash cans can hold so that we can arrange early trash pick-up. Do not leave any garbage loose outside of trash containers. b. Empty all contents placed in the refrigerator and clean any mess made. c. Empty the cabinets of your groceries unless you feel certain the unopened item can benefit a future renter. d. Empty dishwasher and put clean dishes away. e. Place used bed linens (not mattress pads or shams) at the foot of the bed. f. Place all used towels in a pile on the mud room floor. g. Tidy up game room and place game pieces back with their correct game. h. Close and lock all windows and doors. i. Turn off all appliances and lighting. j. Make sure hot tub cover is latched and sauna door is closed k. Leave the house in the order in which you found it. Please treat our house like your house. 22. Guest agrees to adhere to Essex County, Town of Jay, State of New York, and Adirondack State Park rules, regulations and ordinances. 23. Guest is responsible for all digital content downloaded/uploaded by all guests during their stay. Any fees or fines associated with illegally downloaded or streamed content (i.e. “pirating” movies) will be assessed to the Guest. 24. Guest shall provide names of all individuals fourteen (14) days after booking, via email , who will be utilizing the rental house. Guest shall provide update of names, if needed, prior to arrival.
