Mins from Main St Westport & hwys, "the Perry House" is at the historic Aspetuck Corners which used to house the likes of Helen Keller & Ernest Hemingway Wide plank chestnut flrs, high ceilings, updated kitchen and bths, 3 bedrooms on the second floor. Wonderful area for hiking and bicycling and 10 min. from area beaches on the Long Island sound. However, perhaps you prefer to read to the rush of the river or cosy up to by oversized fireplace. The space The house is situated in a uniquely picturesque area which is marvelous for walks or biking. I have one bike for your disposal. This is truly New England from the story books. However, the houses were more comfortable than usual because of wealthy sea captains in Southport and farmers who did very well on this fertile farm land. Guest access There is access to beaches on Long Island Sound ten minutes away, miles of hiking and cross country skiing in in Troutbrook Valley five min away, great shopping & restaurants in Westport and Fairfield and public tennis and golf near by. Other things to note The rush of the river is wonderfully calming and inspire reflection and reading.
