Description

Very quiet, fully furnished flat with a view of the Wurzen city park. The flat is located in a building that was originally built as a barracks in 1902. The flat was completely renovated in 2020. You have a view of the park from the balcony. The street in front is mainly used by local traffic. The space The one-room apartment is located on the first floor of the converted barracks in the König-Georg residential park in Wurzen. It offers a spacious, bright room of approximately 38 m²; an internal bathroom with a shower; a separate kitchen with a window; and a hallway. Wurzen combines the tranquility of a small town with the advantages of a big city, making it an attractive travel destination. The centre of Leipzig can be reached by car in just under 30 minutes. But Leipzig is also just a stone's throw away by train. Located in the heart of Saxony, the large district town of Wurzen is one of the oldest towns in the state. A highlight of the town is the St. Mary’s Cathedral, which is often used for church services, weddings, and concerts. The town, also known as Ringelnatzstadt, has a meticulously restored old town with picturesque alleys, buildings, and squares. The town centre hosts many attractive and individual shops with a varied range of products. The imposing mill towers shape the entire townscape and are regarded as the town's secret landmark. The Ecumenical St James Pilgrimage Route and the Via Regia, one of the oldest and longest land connections between Eastern and Western Europe, pass through Wurzen. Cycling and hiking trails run through the town, and especially the cycle paths are being continuously expanded. The Mulde River flows through enchanted floodplain landscapes. Adjacent forests and many allotment gardens surround Wurzen like a green belt.
